The Promise of a New Day

The sun is setting and

we realize

today has gone and left us.

What we did we can never change.

Did we make it a good one?

Did we give it our very best?

Some days we do, some days we don’t.

But now it doesn’t matter.

We let that day go. It is behind us.

Tomorrow is a new day.

We never know what that day will bring.

We only know that it is a new beginning.

Tomorrow we can try to do our very best.

Because with each sunset

we are given

the promise of a new day

and we always get a another chance.
