Poetry Prompt: taking a moment

Photo by Carl Barcelo on Unsplash

to take a moment for yourself not because the season is unhappy nor that you don’t like company

but to honour your own needs by balancing alone time and “other people” time

for me, that comes in the form of a nice 5-minute stretch

Lucy (The Eggcademic) [she/her] thinks there’s just SOMETHING SO SATISFYING about the right stretch. She never thought she had back stiffness or pain, but realized only after she started doing back-related poses in yoga that mostly her back has just been numb to her terrible sitting-in-front-of-monitor poses. (Ps, check your posture).
