Have you ever thought about the immense power of your simple words?
In the vast world of talking, listening, and understanding, we all possess a special ability known as the power of words.
Think of words like tiny seeds; they can grow into something beautiful or messy like thorns.
We know a good tree has strong roots and branches; similarly, a good word has profound effects and significance in our lives.

Suppose, on the way back home, you cross a beautiful big park. Your eyes are drawn to a massive tree standing tall, with its roots firmly planted in the ground, and its branches bearing fruits, reaching high into the sky. Many birds have come to nest in the tree, and many people are also relaxing under its shade. How would you feel about this tree?
The amazing existence of this magnificent tree instantly captures your heart, doesn’t it?
This tree is a symbol of strength, resilience, comfort, and beauty. Our words are like seeds, and our mind and heart are the ground.
Words are deeply rooted in our minds and hearts. So, when we use a ‘good word,’ we actually nourish the seeds (words) to be firmly rooted in the ground (heart) with trust, love, and respect. It helps the seeds to grow with the branches of sincerity, kindness, truthfulness, and positivity.
Consider the impact of kind words when spoken to a friend in need or a stranger feeling alone. These words serve as roots that strengthen our inner connections.

Just as a good tree’s branches bear fruit, good words yield positive outcomes. When you encourage someone, you are actually nurturing the heart to flourish like watering a plant to grow.
When you apologize sincerely, you mend relationships with care. The rewards of good words are abundant. It’s like the sweet fruit of a good tree. Again, a ‘good word’ can soothe troubled hearts, heal wounds, and offer warmth to our souls. Likewise, a large tree provides shade with comfort and protection on a hot day. When we use good words consistently, we create a harvest of goodwill and love.
The power of a good word actually begins with a simple choice, just as a magnificent tree starts from a small seed. Our words have the power to make people feel good or bad.
Remember a nice word that made you happy or a mean word that made you feel bad. Have you ever heard the phrase, ‘Sticks and stones may hurt me, but words can’t’? That’s not actually true. Words have the power to cause pain and also bring comfort and healing.
There is a powerful message in the Holy Quran (14:26): ‘The example of a bad word is like a bad tree, uprooted from the surface of the earth, not having any stability.’

Just as a bad tree lacks stability and is uprooted, a bad word can uproot bonds, harmony, and trust in our relationships.
Think about a person who habitually uses hurtful and negative words. They sow seeds of negativity in their conversations and create hateful and poisonous environments around them. These relationships always stay unstable and never rooted with harmony in our hearts.
When we choose our words carefully, speaking with kindness and respect, we nurture relationships like a well-cared garden. Our words become the foundation of trust and understanding like building blocks. Just as a strong tree’s roots provide stability, good words create a stable and harmonious environment throughout our lives.
We have to remind ourselves about the amazing power of our words. They can either uplift or uproot. In our daily lives, we should try to be mindful of our speech, choosing words that build, inspire, uplift, and educate everyone around us. Our wisely used words can build a world filled with compassion, understanding, and unity which makes the world better place for all.

Can you imagine the power of a single word to lift a person’s heart like the sunrise after a long night?
Think about this: every word we speak is like a little drop of paint on a painting. So, what images do our words create on the canvas of people’s hearts? Are we illustrating a bright and pleasant world filled with respect, love, and understanding, or do we choose to use gloomy and negative tones?

Words are like presents. Imagine you are giving a present. If you give the gift with a smile and happiness, it becomes even more special.
But, as we are human beings, sometimes we say something wrong unintentionally. Mind it; making mistakes is human nature, but it’s important to feel repentance. When we apologize and fix our relationships, it’s like using glue to fix a broken vase.

It’s never too late to say ‘sorry’ to someone. Your simple word ‘sorry’ can open the door to happiness in someone’s heart.
So, why delay? Let our words be a positive power that echoes in every heart!
Thank you!
