The Power of Water

Prompt for January 14th

Looking over Marina Del Ray towards shore — Image by the author, October 26, 2017

Years ago, I saw a presentation about the power of water. It can wear away rocks, it can move the shoreline. It can revive a field of crops. It can quench the thirst of a desert. A single drop may not seem very powerful, but many of those drops falling in the same place over time can wear away almost anything.

A tub of warm water can relax you and get you ready to sleep. A shower can wake you up in the morning. There isn’t much we eat that doesn’t have some water in it — the water in our bodies requires it. A tall glass of water can be someone wonderful looking, but a cold glass of water can kill inspiration.
