Discovering the true secret to manifestation

What is Visualization?
The power of visualization is one of mankind’s most effective and deeply rooted tools used to manifest exactly what we want into reality.
Visualization requires not just envisioning what you want, but feeling the emotions as if you already have it in your hands. As these emotions fill each cell of your body, you begin to emit a new frequency in perfect alignment with what it is you are envisioning.
This is the key to unlocking the law of attraction.
Through consistent use of this meditative technique, you can completely transform your external reality into whatever it is you desire. The catch — you must know how to use this tool properly.
All too often we utilize the power of visualization against ourselves without even realizing it. Having a clear understanding of how visualization works and what it is exactly we desire is crucial to unlocking the endless benefits of this practice.
How Visualization Works
The nitty-gritty of how visualization works regarding quantum physics can be a black hole of a topic in itself, so let’s stick to the core takeaway which is: where attention goes, energy flows.
Our entire universe is energy.
While some choose to view energy as being either good or bad, the reality is energy is neither. Energy is a fluid force that is unbiased towards how it manifests. This is what causes momentum, whether subjectively good or bad.
Consider the placebo effect — a phenomenon where a subject feels the physical effects of a false narrative. This is a great example of internal belief manifesting in the physical world.
According to Harvard Health Publishing’s article The Power of the Placebo Effect:
“People associate the ritual of taking medicine as a positive healing effect…Even if they know it’s not medicine, the action itself can stimulate the brain to thinking it is being healed.”
Remember where attention goes, energy flows.
Sometimes life feels like it can’t get any better. Other times it feels like a raincloud follows you anywhere you go. These periods are products of the natural manifestation of our emotions and attention.
While hearing that you may be the source of your own suffering can be disheartening, realizing you can direct your life in any direction, at any time, is empowering.
How to use visualization meditation
For this technique to make an impact in your life, you must always accompany intention with action.
Not only will you need to master manifesting what you do want, but you will also need to remove the mental habits and personal beliefs that currently manifest what you don’t want.
Let’s break the whole process down into five easy-to-follow steps so you can begin bridging the gap to your deepest desires, immediately.
Step one: Create a crystal clear vision of what you want
This may be a no-brainer, but creating a crystal clear vision of exactly what you want is the most important yet the most overlooked step in this whole process.
The key here is you must take the time to be incredibly specific in the details of what you want. Often we kind of know what we want, yet lack attention to all fine details.
What we put into the universe we get right back, so it is important to send out the right image.
Let’s say you want to leave your job to become a full-time writer.
You know what you want, and you want it bad — but what does that really look like? Are you writing from home or are you writing from a beach somewhere in the Caribbean?
If you’re on the beach, what does the sand feel like under your toes as you type your words? When you’re typing, how hot does the laptop feel under your palms after being exposed to the warm sun?
Can you hear the waves crashing on the beach and then crawling up the sand towards your feet? Do you hear the wooshing sound of the water returning to the ocean?
Can you smell the salty breeze passing over you?
Are you struggling to see the screen from the sun’s glare, or are you in the shade?
What snacks are you picking at as you edit your draft? Cheez-its are my favorite when I’m in work mode.
How does the ice water feel on your throat while you email your clients back?
Forming a crystal clear image of what it is you truly desire is key to manifesting the life you want. If you are not immensely specific with what you want, your reality with never become what your soul is asking for.
Creating a vision board is another great way to see emotions materialize.
While in meditation, sit with these tantric thoughts deeply.
It is not enough to just envision what you want — you must feel the emotions as if you already have your desires in every cell of your body.
Step two: Dissolve damaging beliefs holding you back
The power of visualization is not something you learn, it is something you become aware of.
It is always working for you, night and day, whether you realize it or not. The truth is we constantly shape the energy around us based on our internal frequency. Think of when you feel a shift in the room and someone’s “vibe” changes.
This is caused by a pivot in their internal energy and immediately you notice the magnetic effect it has on the room.
Often we subconsciously manifest our fears and disheartening beliefs into reality by giving them attention, then blame the universe for our circumstances. While having negative thoughts is normal, being a victim of their subsequent emotions is a choice.
You must bring awareness to the fact that believing you are unworthy of the things you desire is the very source of what holds you back from them in the first place.
Question: Why don’t you deserve to be happy and successful like so many other people?
You absolutely do, and it’s not your fault if you’ve fallen into the habit of believing these self-limiting thoughts.
We all have them, and we must all face them eventually.
So how do we break these habits? Mantras.
Mantras are a fantastic tool to begin your visualization mediation with as they align your frequency to one of abundance and creativity. Even if at first these mantras feel dishonest, as you say them repeatedly out loud, your body will respond to them as truth and you will feel their powerful effects take hold.
Try these mantras out at the beginning of each meditation:
- I am fully present in this beautiful moment
- I am a divine force that attracts abundance
- I deserve to be happy and enjoy the things I desire
- I am capable of anything I set my mind to
- I acknowledge my self-limiting beliefs, and I lovingly release them
Step three: Organize your time with pure intention
One thing any successful person will recommend is utilizing a daily planner.
Breaking your vision down into small daily goals is a great way to tell the universe, “This is what I want, and I’m going to get it.”
Make sure your time and energy are not leaking through the many voids of procrastination and uncertainty. You know what you want so why waste time doing anything else?
Allow every minute of your day to become potent and momentous toward the life you are choosing to create for yourself.
Step four: Take daily action & hone your practice
While taking daily action toward your vision is essential, practicing your ability to trust in yourself to manifest your external reality is the equivalent of a spiritual gym membership.
When I first discovered my ability to manifest things into the physical realm of my life, I was in disbelief.
A mentor of mine guided me to sharpen my skills with daily practice.
I was taught to imagine a specific item at random and focus on tantric visualization of how it felt, smelt, sounded, and tasted. Any reasonable item will do.
I sat in my meditation and imagined I had a black twisted hair tie in my hand. It was dry and soft, twirling up at one point with a few hairs sticking out of this apex. It smelt a little musky and didn’t taste great either, but I could hear the quiet sound of it rolling and twisting between my fingers.
After sitting with your chosen item for a minute, release your thought into the universe faithfully. You’ve done your part, now let the universe do hers.
That day I later went on a long hike through the woods and had completely forgotten about my meditation hours earlier in the day. I had stopped scanning the ground and crevices of my car for this miracle.
My dog and I trekked through the crunching leaves of the not-so-shady trees and came to a brief stop to pull out my water bottle.
As I tilted my head back to take a sip of water, my eyes gazed down and there it was — the hair tie had found me in the middle of the woods, exactly as I had imagined, though I skipped the taste test.
You can practice this with anything. I’ve written down just how much money in tips I wanted to make at my job before, just to make that much to the exact dollar. Practicing telepathy techniques is another great way to utilize visualization.
Practice makes perfect.
Step five: Embrace the challenges by staying consistent
The universe works in mysterious ways and just because you get what you want, does not mean it will always be easy.
Embrace all the challenges thrown your way as you journey toward your goals. The road to success has never been an easy one, nor is it supposed to be. The challenges you face while realizing your dreams will give your life the sense of fulfillment and pride you are searching for.
Pain is not only temporary, it is subjective — make good friends with it.
If you welcome pain and discomfort, you become unstoppable. Take any bump in the road as an opportunity to learn and expand yourself even greater.
When you realize these stepping stones of discomfort are actually leading you to exactly what it is you desire, your attitude shifts to bring it on.
If you follow these steps consistently with full faith in yourself and the process, you will unlock the secret to utilizing the powerful force of visualization and manifest your deepest desires.
