The Power of Mindset and 3 Ways It Influences Our Ability to Get What We Want
Plus, a bonus tip that will always be the secret sauce.
When it comes to being, doing, or having anything, we must understand that everything is always available. Everything exists.
Every single thing we can imagine wanting, someone out there has it.
It is all possible.
But we’re not set up all at the same place in life. We don’t all start at the same starting line.
Different people have to overcome different things, whether other beliefs, mental constructs, additional baggage, trauma, or socioeconomic status.
Our unique paths to getting where we want to be will look different.
However, there are things that, across the board, help everyone create and receive what they desire.
That said, there’s one underlying truth that holds this all together: There are no ultimate things we must do to receive.
But some things help us to know we can receive. And knowing we can receive is where it starts.
1) Knowing you’re worthy.
Nuance is needed here. It’s not that our worth was ever in question.
We’re each worthy because we are. We are worthy, period. We are all innately deserving.
And it’s not that feeling worthy is required to manifest something or make something happen.
It’s that when you have an overarching belief over your life that you’re not good enough or not deserving, it’s hard to believe that you can have anything.
2) Bring meaning behind the thing you desire.
When we believe the thing we want is of good, it’s easier for us to create it because none of us want to be bad people.
When we believe what we want is of service, that it helps others, it helps us. It allows us to create a better life for our family, and we can use what we receive to give back — when we have all of that going on, it’s easier to allow it in.
Once again, this is not a universal condition because plenty of people we know have made plenty of money in ways that we would consider unethical.
And those people probably didn’t believe what they were doing was of service to the world, but they probably had meaning behind it. They probably had a reason for wanting it that felt worth it to them.
3) Believing it’s possible.
Knowing or believing it’s possible for you can come in many ways.
You can read a book that tells you it’s possible and go, “Holy goodness, it’s possible.”
You can decide to have faith that it’s possible for you. And you can activate a place of co-creation with the Universe / God / Higher Power.
You have faith; you know it’s coming. That has worked for many people, and I love activating this co-creation feeling within myself.
You can add evidence from other people’s lives or your past to see that it’s possible. I love keeping a Book of Evidence and referring to it often.
You can use decision, just deciding it’s possible. When it doesn’t feel possible, you’ll have difficulty opening up to it, allowing it in, choosing it, and knowing it’s coming.
So we have to decide that it’s possible for us. And when we look around, just within this platform — Medium, and read all the beautiful stories of triumph, overcoming, and achievement. We can see it’s all possible.
The Bonus Tip and what I believe will ALWAYS be the secret sauce.
But before we get to that, what cannot be emphasized enough, is that none of these things are required. They’re optional.
No chalkboard in the sky says, “For someone to create a good life, thou shalt have belief in their worth.”
No, these things are not required by anyone, but they are undoubtedly helpful and supportive in getting and creating what we want.
Gratitude. Gratitude is the secret sauce. It instills the energy of joy that magnetises back to us so much more.
When I am in gratitude for my life, when I am in gratitude for every dollar that flows in, all the experiences I get to have, the love I get to share, it all feels better. I feel in flow and aligned. And so much more feels possible to me.
There is something about feeling gratitude for what we have right now that speeds up and calls in everything else we desire.
