The Power Is In Your Hands

I woke up at 5:01 A.M, I read a Psalm and sat in front of my computer and a thought zoomed into my head, “What kind of day will today be?
Thinking about yesterday and what’s happening in our world, I realize that I can make my day powerful, great, happy, and relaxing by just making the right choice, or one right decision, or simply just doing the right thing.
I can start a fire that will destroy me and all the things I value. I can feed my hatred thus giving me the power and the strength to self-destruct. I can entertain anger and rage, which will increase my blood pressure that could give me a stroke. I could cheat a friend, that will destroy a good friendship. I could lie to a loved one, that will create trust issues for me. I could contribute to everything that will destroy me, or I could give kindness.
I could forgive someone. I could lend a hand to someone in need. I could give thoughtfulness to a stranger. I could make someone smile. I could give understanding in a distressing situation. I could give love to an injured animal or human. I could wait my turn in a long line, thus giving patience. I could plant a tree that will bear fruits that could feed someone who is hungry. All the above are just a few of the things I could do to make my day and world better.
Don’t you see the power in your hands? I could be positive and empower myself and others, or I can be negative and destroy me and others. I have the power to change. And so, do you. Make today a positive one.
