CASE STUDY — #ILLUMINATION
The Positive Impact of Writing on Illumination
Making progress, one day at a time.

I published my first story #ILLUMINATION on March 21st, which marks the beginning of a new year in my religious tradition. I hadn’t given it any thought until I started the research on my first 30 days of Illumination.
I find it astonishing that I started my journey of ILLUMINATION on New Year’s Day according to my religious tradition. Ours is an esoteric tradition, so the concept of enlightenment or Illumination is central to our way of life. Then to have Serendipity as one of the guiding principles of our writers’ community is more than a coincidence; I believe it is by Divine construct.
With that introductory background, let me get into the details. In 30 days prior to March 21st, I had published only 20 stories. Since then, I have published 50, most of them on Illumination. To say that I ecstatic would be an understatement.
I had published two stories about coronavirus a couple of days before March 21st that had generated some views for me. Then I published two more on my obscure publication before posting my second story on Illumination on March 27th. I have been prolific since then.
Being on Illumination has inspired me to write a lot because I am having fun. Not only that, but it has also brought me a lot of readers who are spending time reading my stories, which means I am making more money. It is a win-win all the way.
Don’t just take my word for it; the stats prove it too. You can see my current stats at the top of the page, and here are the stats from the previous 30 days.

As you can see below, I have made more money in the first 19 days of April than any full month previously.

My numbers may not be that impressive in the whole scheme of things, but they show progress, and that’s all that matters to me. It’s not a sprint; It’s a marathon. I am happy with the progress I am making.
