The Poseur

The same eyes. The same hair. The same, self-possessed air.
But, who is that woman in the mirror?
I stick out my tongue. She does the same. Is this a trick, or just a game?
Who is that woman in the mirror?
Her shirt is wrinkled. Not so, her skin. The skin, I, too, am in.
Who is that woman in the mirror?
She flashes a wink. Executes a twirl. A lingering ghost of that little girl.
I know that woman in the mirror.
She lifts the shirt. And raises the bar. Just enough, to show the scar.
I know that woman in the mirror.
Breasts. Boobs. Tits. So, what shall I call those? Right. Mine, I suppose.
I know that woman in the mirror.
See her reach for the pills? Pop a few in her mouth? Grimace as the pills slide south?
I know that woman in the mirror.
She could use a hug. Some proof of my devotion. But, she/me is frozen.
