The Portable Paradise Inside You That You Don't Even Know Exists

This portable paradise inside you is always available 24/7

Did you know that there’s a portable paradise inside you that you can access 24/7, seven days a week, and free of charge?

You don’t need to have any special skills to access it, just a desire and an open mind.

This portable paradise is that ‘still point’ inside you, which some call the true self, higher self, higher consciousness, divine essence, etc.

Whatever you choose to call it, it's there and has been with you ever since birth.

But as you go through life with all its lessons and trials it often gets buried, and so you forget about it or don't even realize it's there in the first place.

For some people, it's buried so deep that it's almost like an avalanche that's buried a whole town.

So naturally, they have to do a lot of digging to bring it to the surface.

This ‘still point’ or whatever name you choose to give it when accessed regularly will help:

  • center you
  • bring more balance into your life
  • enhance clarity
  • help you discover more of who you are

Naturally, you're probably wondering if this still point has always been with you since birth, why don't you even know about its existence?

Or why aren't more people talking about it?

Well, just look around you:

  • information overload
  • the fast pace of life
  • daily trivia (urgencies, errands of daily life)
  • emphasis on the logical side of the brain

All these play a part in keeping you and all of us really away from our portable paradise.

In addition, our conscious mind gets in the way as well with its chit-chatter.

This still, point inside you is best accessed when you quiet your conscious mind and its endless chit-chatter and allow your subconscious to take over.

You’ll find that in the early morning and just before going to bed your subconscious mind is most potent.

So naturally, then these are the best times to access your still point.

However, with time as you practice, you can access your portable paradise at any time, even at peak hour on a crowded subway.

I personally like to get in touch with my still point in the early morning as I’m a morning person and love the stillness of the morning.

I belong to the 6 am club.

I just love to sit in the silence of the morning for a few minutes at my desk and bask in the quiet and allow my thoughts to flow freely.

It's during this time that I am most connected to that still point.

I usually get my best answers, revelations, insights, etc come through as my conscious mind isn't yet fully awake, so my subconscious has more power.

But we are all different, so morning time may not be the best time for you to access your still point.

Find a time that works best for you.

Even five minutes out of your day to just be still is a great way of accessing your portable paradise.

This allows you to engage in some quiet reflection too which is also great for your overall self-discovery and self-awareness.

Quiet reflection and accessing your portable paradise go hand in hand.

If you can't make time for five minutes in your day for reflection, then you don't have a life!

For my quiet reflection, I like to sit by my bedroom window, which has a beautiful view of the garden.

I just stare out the window for five minutes and sit with my thoughts, and often have a cup of tea in my hand.

I just notice what thoughts come up without forcing them. I am an objective observer of thoughts.

Through such a simple quiet reflection, I can access my portable paradise and so can you.

Another great way of accessing your portable paradise is through the age-old tradition of meditation.

Meditation is great for clearing the cobwebs, going deep within, and getting to know your thoughts.

Just as humans are all different so are meditation practices. There are so many different types of meditation.

You’ll need to experiment and find one or perhaps a few that you really connect with.

YouTube is a great place to start. There are hundreds of different types of meditation.

A friend of mine recently tried out the Daily Calm 7 Day Challenge and loved it. You may want to check it out.

Each day is dedicated to a different theme and they are super short : two to three-minute sessions.

Journaling is also another great way to access your still point along with walks in nature.

Remember that your portable paradise has always been there with you and will always be there with you as you journey through life.

You just need to reconnect with it & you can and should via the methods mentioned here like taking time to be still, meditation, journaling, and walks in nature.

As you begin to access your portable paradise, you’ll no doubt probably come up with your own ways of accessing it.

Experiment and have fun. It's not meant to be a chore.

As you access your portable paradise regularly, you’ll start to feel its presence in your life more and more.

You’ll notice a change generally takes place between three and six months — you’ll be calmer, focused, and centered.

When stressful and challenging events and situations come up, you’ll be less reactive and respond accordingly.

You’ll come to see the truth in the old saying, ‘’the answers you seek are within you.”

They truly are, and your portable paradise that you take with you wherever you go will help you uncover the answers you seek.

Remember, it's there 24/7 and is waiting for you to access and use it.

Sadly most people don’t as they are not even aware of its existence, and some fail to make the time for it.

It’s like having a bank account with millions of dollars but always struggling financially as the account is never accessed.

Crazy right?

So start accessing your portable paradise regularly and witness the changes in your life.
