The Pigeon I Tried To Rescue
I still miss her 🥹

Memories never fade away with time. So with this October prompt by Dr. Preeti Singh — Chirping Birds. Amazing idea, where we can actually talk about cute little birds.
I didn’t write anything for this prompt because, without a second thought, my mind made me feel all those moments when I was trying my best to save that little cutie.
I was so emotional when I was writing about this friend of mine. I cannot explain how depressed I was when She was no more with me🥹🥹🥹.
That pain was just something that I cannot explain.

I am so much amazed to see her on the lift side, where I saw nearly no mommy bird.
I actually thought at first he went the wrong way, but I was so wrong.
It looks like an adult bird but is actually a baby Pigeon. As soon as I made her sit in my hand, her soft feathers made me feel the real meaning of love.
I felt like, she needs my help and I will make her return to her parents.
I have seen birds taking their babies when they fall from the nest, but this time nobody came to pick her up.
When I got him, he was ok and since I was in my office, these things are just not allowed there. I simply put her in a box and made a few holes so that she could breathe.
I also put on clothes to make her feel comfortable.
I tried my best to feed her from time to time and I was doing all these things without letting anyone know in my office because pets are not allowed.

I observed that she was not eating, what came to my mind was that she is thirsty.
So I immediately brought a bottle cap and gave her water. But all in vain. As time passed, the situation was getting worse. She started shivering and I panicked so much.
I called nearly all my friends and asked for help. Any kind of medicine or treatment that could save her.
Then I called a vet who was a friend of mine, and she said that it was too late for that. She asked me everything and said she was sick that’s why she was in a situation where there were no birds.
She asked me to wash my hands properly in case she is suffering from some kind of disease.
I became sad 🥹.
I cannot save her. All my dreams just shattered in a few seconds and that day was the worst day.
I lost her.
Life never stops even if you lose something.
I learned how to deal with such pain. This is the only reason why I was not writing any story 🥹on the chirping birds prompt…
But then I thought about why I should not do it. She deserves my love 💖.
Here are a few amazing stories that I went through…
