Summary

The author posits that the coronavirus pandemic is a consequence of humanity's ecological and health-related missteps, signaling a need for a new era.

Abstract

The article presents a theory that the COVID-19 pandemic is a manifestation of nature's response to the cumulative environmental and ethical transgressions of human civilization. These include the industrial revolution's pollution, the extinction of wildlife, the overuse of plastics, poor dietary habits leading to weakened immune systems, the inhumane treatment of livestock, the contamination of produce with pesticides, deforestation, urbanization, and social inequality leading to health disparities. The author suggests that the pandemic may be a catalyst for a necessary transformation of society, akin to how past pandemics have reshaped human behavior and civilization.

Opinions

  • The author believes that the pandemic is a direct result of human errors post-industrial revolution, including environmental destruction and the extinction of animal species.
  • The article criticizes the modern diet, which is filled with preservatives and lacking in essential nutrients, contributing to a population without the necessary antibodies to fight serious illnesses.
  • There is a strong opinion against the inhumane conditions in which livestock is raised, suggesting that these practices not only harm animals but also lead to health issues in humans who consume them.
  • The overuse of pesticides and the exhaustion of soil without proper care are seen as detrimental to the quality of fruits and vegetables.
  • Deforestation and urbanization are viewed as contributing factors to the decline in oxygen production and the overall health of the planet.
  • The author points out that the poorest populations live in conditions that exacerbate disease spread, and these conditions contribute to global health issues.
  • The pandemic is portrayed as nature's retaliation against human greed, indifference, and the imbalances caused by these attitudes.
  • There is skepticism about the safety and efficacy of the coronavirus vaccines, with concerns raised about potential side effects and the rushed nature of their development.
  • The author speculates that the pandemic could lead to a significant reduction in population, paving the way for a new epoch with a different set of values and practices.
  • The article suggests that the current crisis is an opportunity for humanity to reflect and create a more sustainable and ethical world.

The Philosophical Meaning Of The Coronavirus Pandemic

I explain my theory based on an analysis of the errors of our civilization.

I believe we are paying for the mistakes we made, especially after the industrial revolution, when we started destroying our planet with air pollution and with the extinction of various wild animals to use everything they could offer us.

The pollution of the environment with garbage and the agglomeration of plastic products on land and in the oceans have been killing many land animals, birds, and fish for years.

Furthermore, we don’t have the antibodies needed to fight serious illnesses because our diets are deficient. The foods sold in supermarkets contain numerous preservatives and other harmful substances to increase our appetite, and they don’t sustain us.

Junk food has been consumed daily by many people with indifference, while we know that this type of food causes serious health problems.

Cows, pigs, and chickens live in tiny cubicles so they don’t lose weight and so that they can serve as food for those who consume their meat without the slightest pity for these animals already predestined to die from birth. They live imprisoned as if they have no right to live until they are violently murdered.

These animals live sick and constantly take antibiotics, and they contaminate each other because they are stuck together. When ingested by ignorant and insensitive consumers, they can only cause illness to those who eat them, or gradually generate various health problems, even if they don’t seem to result from bad nutrition.

Even the vegetables and fruits are contaminated by pesticides, and the soil where they are planted is worn out after so many plantings without interruption and without any variation for the soil to recover the necessary metals.

We cut down trees to build skyscrapers and roads, preventing the production of oxygen by plants, and we live in cement jungles without even seeing the sky.

Our sick and depressed population has neither the courage nor the time to do anything to save the planet. We work long hours and often two jobs to survive and pay our expenses.

The poorest live in much worse conditions than animals and are victims of numerous diseases that they cannot fight because they cannot afford to visit doctors and buy medicines, and the microbes accumulated in the areas where they live are spread all over the world.

Coronavirus is the result of all the imbalances we cause with our madness, our greed, and our indifference to evil. Now nature is taking revenge on us.

Many other microbes and terrible diseases have already slaughtered our population before covid19, affecting even teenagers and children, but now everything has gotten worse and we still don’t know what will be the consequences of this fatal disease over time, or what will be the consequences of vaccines against the coronavirus, which have not been well-crafted and tested enough.

Many doctors have warned us that these vaccines cause problems in the heart arteries and weaken our body, which ends up being unable to fight other diseases.

Many people have died from these vaccines, but we are forced to take them and take various risks that are perhaps worse than the disease we are trying to avoid because we are in a state of panic.

I believe this pandemic is killing our population to create a new epoch on Earth, just as cholera killed the population of the middle ages to end the poor hygiene of that time.

The evils that characterize our civilization are much worse, but I believe that those who survive in the end will create a new world totally different from the absurd world we are used to.
