The Philippines is preparing for the Coming Presidential Election
In the Philippines, an upcoming Presidential election is a major event.
The country is preparing for the vote by holding rallies and making public appearances by the candidates. The elections are scheduled for May 9th, but there are several candidates who are vying for the position. The Philippines has been through many changes recently with current President Rodrigo Duterte, and the Presidential election will determine whether or not these changes will continue.

Here in Davao City, rallies and campaigns are happening. This weekend seems the busiest time for the last campaigns from those candidates for the coming elections. The talk of the town in Davao city or Mindanao is the team of the current Mayor in Davao city, the Daughter of the current President Rodrigo Duterte who is running for Vice President.
I’ve written a short brief about Sara Duterte:
Sara Duterte’s Team includes the son of the late Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos
Here is brief information about Bong Bong Marcos
Bong Bong Marcos is the son of former president Ferdinand Marcos who was ousted from power in a military coup in 1986. He has been a candidate for the Philippine presidency several times but has never won a vote. He was investigated for corruption and human rights abuses during his father’s rule, but he has never been convicted.
Since the death of dictator Ferdinand Marcos, a man who ruled the Philippines for more than two decades, there has been much speculation as to who will be the next president. Recent polls have shown that if Senator Bong Bong Marcos, is elected, it will be only the second time in Philippine history that a member of a royal family has held the presidency.
Here are names lists running for President this election on Monday, May 9, 2022.
President spoke person Ernesto Abella, Leody de Guzman, National Defense Norberto Gonzales, Senetor Panfilo Lacson, Faizal Mangondato, Jose Montemayor, Isko Moreno, The Boxer Manny Pacquiao and curent Vice president Lene Robredo.

The image above was taken during the rallies along San Pedro Street the main capital area of Davao City.
People do not mind the hot sunny day as they were anxious about what these future leaders had to say.

The locations are tightly secured with barricading Police offers and Military tankers around the areas.

Because it is a hot sunny day, local icecreams are sold on other corners of the street. Other vendors selling fruits and balloons are also seen. I would say, a more fun event for the people in Davao city.
Back to Inday Sara Duterte — She is being loved here in Davao and other parts of Mindanao and as far as the Muslim areas. Sara Duterte is known for her strong and protective acts toward the people in Mindanao.
