The Perils of Wrong Prayers versus The Power of Praying.
It’s rightly said, what you sow you reap, be it in life, your actions, deeds or prayers.

Prayer is not an unabating act of beggary for this, that and everything…rather praying is that action which is meant to be done straight from the heart and with a pure mind.Be it for even a few seconds or minutes, only then can it be heard. I feel “You must know how and what to pray for and where and when.” — Geetika Sethi
Praying is definitely not a time pass or a hobby that you develop to talk about or even boast about to others.
Coming to me, I’m not a person who is fond of praying. Now you might think … fond of praying? Yes exactly, praying is not habitual for me, nor does it give me a high and thus, I can’t force myself to pray.
I feel the will to pray should always come from within if one has to.
Praying has many ways and you can do so anyway. Whichever manner is most satisfying to you, is the best to follow.
I feel helping someone in need is also a way of praying and I’d rather choose that than sitting crossed leg and chanting.
The prayer chants are good and powerful too for people who meditate, but not for a fidgety person like me who can’t close her eyes even for even a minute to pray.
People visit religious places and go with a plethora of questions to which they seek answers. Will just going and asking solve your problems? I feel it won’t, as God is omnipresent and obviously being the Magician, he knows all. Without your asking, he will give when the time comes.

This beautiful picture of Lord Dattatreya – depicts the coming together of creator, destructor and preserver, all rolled into one auspicious symbol of their interconnected and inseparable nature.
He is complete only this way as there can’t be one without another and now if we think, don’t we all belong to this same cycle?
Don’t we all possess these 3 traits? Of course yes we do, but all that we need is to channelise them to the right forefront.
“We should learn to Create a good happy and positive life, Destroy all the negativity as well as the malice and eventually Preserve all the good we absorb within us, keeping our cup of goodness full, to let it overflow.” — Geetika Sethi
So shouldn't we always depend on our own doings? Sow the seeds of love, sharing, happiness in your own life as well as that of others, so that you reap its fruit.
Doing so will have all your prayers answered. Learn to live with humbleness and gratitude. I believe that Gratitude is the best form of prayer and rather should be our only prayer.
It takes just a few seconds each morning and night, so learn to thank each morning as you wake up and each night as you sleep.
And well, if you still feel the need to ask God for something, ask him to bless you with what he feels is best for you.
I believe only in thanking god and if at all need to ask, I’d ask God to bless me with my favourite prayers…
A fresh start each day.
A positively transforming life.
A pure heart.
A new perspective to old thoughts.
Noble Ideas
High aspirations
Compassion
The right spirit
A balanced state in life
A refreshed mind
Positive vibrations
Strength to face each moment with joy.
and lastly, will just ask God to bless me with light, love and wisdom every step of my way.
Is it too much to ask for? I don’t think so! But what about you?
