The Only #1 Way to Change Your Life Forever

After 5 Years of Testing — Here’s The Formula

You are reading this article with the goal of avoiding wasting time and investing it effectively to achieve your goals. You have two options: either achieve your goal yourself or work with someone who has already achieved it. There is no third option.

If I told you, after reading this article, that you have more hours in your day than the average person, it would undoubtedly be false. We all have the same number of hours in a day, which is 24 hours. However, some people are able to accomplish more tasks in the same amount of time. Does that mean they have more hours in the day? Of course not.

Many people have asked me about the source of this extra time I have. How can you upload videos on YouTube, write articles, work on software projects, go to a time-consuming job, and still have time for your family, hobbies, and personal time, and so on?

My answer is reading this article, but let me warn you if you are reading my articles for the first time, you may find my words a bit harsh or rough. Therefore, I advise you not to continue reading unless you have read my previous articles and are aware that I am the opposite of these qualities.

In some matters, taste does not matter, and things should be said honestly, just as your brother or close friend does when offering you advice. They are not here to sugarcoat things for you but to speak them in a way that you find useful.

This is the approach I will follow with you in this article, and I hope it does not bother you. As for those who find this article long or think I have digressed from the topic, I thank you for the valuable time you spent in the past minute.

Time Management:

The topic of time management has been studied, theorized, and written about in hundreds of books. Many people have greatly benefited from it and achieved tremendous profits. However, such topics fall under the umbrella of personal development. Let's stay focused on the subject.

Long ago, there was a person named Dale Carnegie who worked on self-improvement and wrote many books in this field. Most of the people working in the field of personal development today heavily rely on these books. Among his famous books are "How to Enjoy Your Life and Your Job" and "How to Win Friends and Influence People," and his most famous book is "How to Stop Worrying and Start Living."

Starting from the era of this man and passing through Napoleon Hill, Brian Tracy, and not necessarily ending with Stephen Covey and others, the subject of personal development and self-improvement has evolved from being a course based on the author's personal experiences and life vision to a business that seeks to make money through seminars and lectures.

People attend personal development lectures in large numbers, hoping to find solutions to their problems. But the truth is, they don't find a solution; they only receive a big card that encourages them to change. This is where the difference between a solution and energy lies.

However, when people move away from the lecture hall by a few meters, the energy gradually fades away. On the next day or the third day, they return to their normal state.

Why am I telling you this? Because I want you to realize that the purpose of this article is not to give you tremendous energy that allows you to build five pyramids tomorrow, only to find yourself without achievements the next day.

What you will read in this article is not related to personal development in any way, and I don't recommend wasting your time on it. If you think I'm criticizing personal development, we can write an article about it and objectively assess its positives and negatives.

If you follow these 10 steps daily, you will find yourself capable of effectively managing time without any difficulty.

It is essential to understand what I want to say, and jot down the required steps. Please forgive me if the phrases sound a bit harsh, as there might be some blunt expressions.

1. Identify time-wasting sources:

It's difficult to invest your time properly if you don't know where it's being wasted. Let me provide an example from my own experience, and you can assess your situation based on it.

I had a Facebook account since 2017, but I closed my account and stopped using it since then. I found myself not caring much about seeing a picture of my friend John standing next to a car that doesn't belong to him or my friend Mani's post about how much she loves her mother with a caption on Facebook saying, "For everyone, may God protect her for me."

Among my family members, no one liked any posts that contained a poem or anything of that sort, and it definitely bothered me.

I can guarantee you that if you don't use Facebook and you're a business owner advertising on it, Facebook won't benefit you much. You'll likely see trivial news or news that doesn't interest you.

Therefore, the first step is to know where your time is being wasted, and if you find yourself ready to address this situation and make an immediate decision, you will be a successful person in the near future.

However, if you find yourself making excuses to continue using Facebook or saying, "I know where my time is being wasted, and I'll try to control it and reduce the percentage of wasted time," then you're not a serious person in achieving what you want, and you don't deserve success. It would be unfair for someone like you to achieve success, and therefore, the remaining steps won't benefit you.

And don't think that this only applies to Facebook. This is just an example of my situation—where my time was being wasted—and that's why I decided to close my account. You continue to figure out where your time is being wasted and take action today.

2. Set your goal correctly:

When you set a goal that requires time management, you must define it correctly. If you define it incorrectly, even if you have time available, you won't reach the goal—it would have been better to continue having fun on Facebook. Correctly defining the goal has been explained in previous articles.

3. Prepare the night before:

If you wake up in the morning and don't know what you're going to do during the day, it's best for you to go back to sleep. Trust me, it will be a better investment of your time because it will mostly be wasted.

Have you ever seen someone holding a gun, shooting a bullet, and then running and drawing the target? Of course not. Having the goal before aiming is a fundamental requirement.

Therefore, waking up from sleep is the first bullet. You need to determine what you will do during the day since the previous night and break down your goal into small steps, where each step leads to achieving the ultimate goal.

4- Mindset of Challenge:

If you notice that you are the one setting your own goals, and no one has forced you to do so, and you have decided to allocate time to achieve them, dividing them into small steps and saying, "I will do this and that tomorrow."

If you do not take responsibility and invest your efforts in achieving them, then you do not deserve success, so why do you continue to breathe? You are a person who does not respect themselves. If your manager asks you to complete a task within a specific time frame, you will complete the task before the deadline if you can and there is no one better than you, but you do not respect yourself as much as you respect the manager.

If you are a student, there is no subject that is difficult for you. You can excel in it, but you are lazy. It is easy to blame the circumstances, the teacher, the curriculum, or the teaching method, and that is the easiest thing to do. But the difficult part is to be one of the successful people. If you do not reach your goal, it is your fault alone, and if you want to achieve your goal, rely only on yourself.

Example: If you are walking on the street and suddenly someone comes out of a side street and collides with you, causing you to fall to the ground without doing anything, you don't even know them.

Who made the mistake? The mindset of failure: blaming the other person who collided with you and not doing anything, and you are the victim. The mindset of success: this is my mistake, I should have paid attention to the person coming quickly and avoided them, and I won't allow anything like this to happen again.

Therefore, the mistake you experienced is the one you can fix. There is nothing stronger than you in this world. This situation may not be logical, but there are many easy arguments and justifications.

From my personal experience, if you have a mindset of a successful person, you will achieve success and overcome all obstacles. Simply live your life every day as if you are in a challenge with yourself, you are either the killer or the killed. And even if you don't eat or drink to achieve what you have said to yourself, you will achieve it today. So welcome to sleeplessness and not eating. Otherwise, you will lose respect for yourself.

5- Prioritizing:

When you wake up in the morning and know what you will do today, how do you prioritize your day? There is a person named Mark Twain, a famous American businessman, and writer, who says, "If you have to eat a frog, it is best to do it first thing in the morning. And if you have to eat two frogs, it is best to start with the biggest one first."

Regardless of the dirty examples, the statement he makes is 100% true. The best time to do a task is early in the morning, or if you don't wake up early, after an hour of waking up when your mind is at its best. Invest this time wisely.

If you have more than one task, start with the biggest task first. Some people say they prefer to start with the smaller task so they can finish it and feel accomplished. In reality, these people are usually distracted during work, and a small task that can be done in half an hour takes them two hours. In the end, the day ends without completing the big task, and it gets postponed to the next day.

6- Isolate Yourself:

For example, according to the plan you set for yourself today from 10 AM to 12 PM, you will work on a specific task. We will talk soon about time management. From 10 AM to 12 PM, be devoted to the designated task. So why is your cell phone nearby? Remember, the world hasn't changed much during these two hours. So don't worry and close your phone.

I apologize in advance for this example, but if you have a dog and you hear a whistling sound, will it go toward it? Of course, it will run towards it. And if you are working on a task and you hear a message notification on your phone, will you go towards it? Of course, you will run towards it.

What is the difference between this person and an animal at this specific point? It's the same thing. Are you satisfied with being like an animal? If the answer is no, then keep this image in your mind every time your phone rings and you rush towards it.

7- You're Like Others:

Believe me, don't claim that you can do two tasks at the same time. Remove this misconception from your mind. No one in this world can do that. It's a hard truth, but it's true. Don't waste time and energy trying to perform both tasks simultaneously, and separate them.

When you focus on one task, you will perform at your best and accomplish the task more effectively and efficiently. If you have two important tasks, allocate time between them and follow the order of priorities. Don't strive for quantity, strive for quality and ensure completion of the first task before moving forward.

In short, the way to reach success is the mindset of success. Set goals, persevere, prioritize, isolate yourself, and focus on one task at a time. Adopt this mindset and get ready to see significant improvements in your life and achieve your goals.

8- You're Not a Machine:

There are some people who are overly enthusiastic and plan, saying, "From 10 AM to 12 PM, I will accomplish a specific task, and from 12 PM to 3 PM, I will work on another, and from 3 PM to 5 PM, I will work on something else." But in reality, this is funny because you are not a machine. You need to leave long gaps between each task, like the gap between 10 AM and 12 PM for a specific task, and the gap between 2 PM and 4 PM for another task, where you have two empty hours. And this has three benefits:

1- When you allocate a specific time for each task, you will find the task enjoyable like playing, and you will focus more and be more motivated to finish the task before the allotted time ends. You will find yourself encouraging yourself to focus and stay away from distractions.

2- Space-saving: Even if the time runs out and you haven't completed the task, you will find that you have a larger space you can utilize. There are two empty hours, and you won't feel stressed or disrupt your schedule.

3- Breaks: You will find breaks during the day where you can do anything that comes your way during the task. If you want to know what's happening in the world during those two hours, you have two hours to check on the rest of the world.

And here's the most important step: Be bold. Yes, you read it correctly. You need to dare to say "no," don't let anyone distract you from your goal, no matter what. Of course, if there is an emergency or someone needs your help or calls for you, that's an exception. We're talking about ordinary matters.

Yes, you read it correctly. You need to dare to say "no" and not allow anyone to distract you from your goal, no matter what. Of course, if there is an emergency or someone needs your help or is in distress, that's an exception. We are talking about ordinary matters.

Say "no" and let others understand that you are busy and doing something important to you. If the person loves you, they will appreciate and support you, and if they get upset, let them reconcile tomorrow. The time wasted today will not come back tomorrow.

10 - Read:

Photo by Thought Catalog on Unsplash

What's the connection between this and what we're saying? The connection is simple: read, even if you start with children's magazines. Dedicate time every day for reading, even if it's reading trivial things, that's fine.

Tomorrow, your knowledge will increase, and you will read more important things. The important thing is to start reading because it will broaden your horizons and contribute to your development unintentionally. Part of this expanded horizon will reflect on your thinking and management of everything, including the time we talked about today.

Let me remind you that all this advice I've given was with the intention of advising, and I never meant to insult anyone. I apologize if my words seemed harsh to some extent, and if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask them in the comments box.
