The Only 3 Skills You Need for Massive Online Success in 2022

Everything else falls under these 3…

Let’s talk about windshields and rear-view mirrors for just a moment. What would happen if you tried to drive forward while looking only in the rearview mirror?

Sounds ridiculous, right?

So why do we try to drive into a new year focused only on the rearview mirror of our business? Of course, evaluate the last year. What went wrong. What went right. What you can do better in the new year.

And then turn around and move forward into the new year looking through the windshield.

3 Essential Skills

Online success is complicated. You want to get it right. I can help, and I can help make it simple and doable.

The good news is there are only 3 skills you need for massive online success in 2022. Let’s take a closer look:

Create with Purpose

Most people create their content and randomly throw it against the wall to see what sticks. Don’t be most people because most people are broke.

The questions to keep in mind when creating content are:

“Who is this going to serve?

“How will this help my audience and community”

“What problems will this solve?”

Of course, creating content gets you found, drives traffic, builds your list, and in my model helps you create your digital products.

Bottom Line? The purpose that actually makes you the most money is to create to serve.

Promote with Grace

I know the notion of promoting yourself and your stuff makes some of you want to hide under the covers with a bottle of rum mewling until 2023.

I get it.

But let’s say you’ve got a strange rash on your hand that many doctors have been unable to identify. Some have even suggested it’s all in your head.

And let’s say someone knows exactly what it is and how to get rid of it for good. Which approach would you prefer?

Approach 1: “You still have that rash? Seriously? What’s wrong with you? Almost everyone knows how to get rid of that. You wanna spend the rest of your life scratching until your hand falls off? I’ve got just the secret ointment to make that go away, but I’ve only got 3 tubes left, so they’re a bit more expensive than usual. I’m just not sure how many more the company is going to make. How many would you like to get right now before we run out or someone else gets them?”

I know the notion of promoting yourself and your stuff makes some of you want to hide under the covers with a bottle of rum mewling until 2023.

Approach 2: “I know that’s gotta itch. Must be driving you crazy. That happened to me once so I think I can help you. Take a look at this. Can we put some of this ointment on just a small patch to see if it would work? It’s helping? Great! You can get the rest of this sample tube when you join the Ointment of the Month Club. Let’s try it for just 3 months to make sure it goes away and doesn’t come back. Sure, you can stay longer after 3 months if you like.”

Which approach would you prefer?

When you’ve got a solution for someone’s pain the most loving thing you can do is offer it in a graceful way.

Profit with Ease

The first thing that helps you profit with ease is to get good at the 2 steps above. When you create with the purpose of serving and promoting with grace, selling is simple.

In fact, many times people will ask before you even offer:

“What’s your best resource for me?”

Here’s another factor that helps you profit with ease: in my system when you create your content you are also creating the content for your digital products. Beats starting with a blank screen.

I always remember this advice from my first online mentor Tom Antion:

“Create quality resources that help people at a reasonable price.”

I first heard this 17 years ago. Guess what? It’s even more true now.

Profit with Ease Bonus Tip: Ask your audience, members, clients about their most difficult challenges. Create reasonably priced resources that solve their challenges. That’s profiting with ease.

When you’ve got a solution for someone’s pain the most loving thing you can do is offer it in a graceful way.
