The Only 27 YouTube Channels I’m Subscribed To
Diamonds I’ve retained from the morass of my 986 previous subscriptions

Tired of the cesspool my YouTube home page had become, I set out to cleanse it — but with my subscriptions being close to a daunting 1000, I had to find another way.
So, I deleted my YouTube account, created a new one, and spent a good 30 minutes choosing my subscriptions.
The result was 27 channels spanning multiple genres — gems I have and will continue to derive the most value from.
Male Self-Improvement
Teenagers and young adult males will benefit the most from these. If you’re an older male, you’ll still derive some value.
1. Aanghel
With hawk-like eyes, a calm deep voice, a ripped physique, and a confident aura, Aanghel is a testament to everything he preaches.
Brutal honesty, an ASMR-like voice, and unconventional tips set him apart from the others — NoFap, spirituality, mindset, grooming, men’s health, and lifestyle are the key topics he covers.
2. 1STMAN
Ever since I found Kris from 1STMAN, I haven’t missed a single video. The concept of The Male Advantage has literally changed my life’s trajectory.
Unlike the others, 1STMAN is more inspirational than informational — Kris’s charisma and straightforward speaking style fill you up with conviction and motivation.
3. Casey Zander
Casey’s channel is primarily dating advice — both surface-level “fixes” like texting, escalating, seducing, etc. and long-term ones such as cultivating an abundance mindset and becoming a masculine high-quality man.
It’s the latter I really like and watch him for.
4. Hamza
Unlike the previous three, Hamza is still young and figuring things out. As a result, he often contradicts himself and apologizes — but that honesty’s exactly what makes him relatable and inspiring.
Primarily covering dating, fitness, and mindset, he’s now moving towards spirituality, self-improvement, and productivity as well.
5. The Rational Male
Run by Rollo Tomassi, the godfather of the red pill, this channel focuses on the brutal reality of inter-gender dynamics. Before any of the above, watch this — if the videos are too long, go for The Rational Male Clips.
General Self-Improvement
6. FightMediocrity
The biggest selling points for this channel are the brilliantly animated and narrated book summaries. The other self-improvement videos are also expansive and engrossing.
7. Improvement Pill
Beautiful animations, crisp voice, and sound science backing make these videos fun and educative at the same time.
8. Charisma on Command
While I’m not a big fan of captivating “phrases”, conversation “hacks”, and forced body language, the case studies are pretty insightful — learn from them but don’t imitate the same.
Food for Thought
Spanning philosophy, psychology, societal underpinnings, theology, and revolutionary ideas, these channels are mana for the curious folks.
9. The School of Life
The mesmerizing animation styles keep changing. The narration’s crystal clear. The ideas are lucid. And mental health — a huge crisis in today’s world, is the principal topic covered.
10.Pursuit of Wonder
With god-tier storytelling, classical background beats, and interesting animations, every video is a trip — the ideas are so profound they’ll leave you in deep contemplation.
11. Bite-Sized Philosophy
Jordan Peterson is a gift to humanity — his lectures and interviews are absolute goldmines of knowledge and wisdom.
But not everyone has hours to spend watching them — by carefully curating tiny chunks of Dr. Peterson’s words, this channel solves this.
12. Big Think
Ideas, as pure as they get — spanning multiple disciplines of the social sciences, physics, biology, economics, politics, and psychology. No better place to gain a vast base of knowledge.
13. Ted-Ed
Similar to Big Think, but with beautiful animations added in — not to mention a wider range of topics, even the weirdest questions you might have had.
Business/Finance
14. Andrei Jikh
This is one of the few channels I have all notifications turned on. Combining magic, memes, humor, and kick-ass editing, Andrei makes finance exciting.
The biggest thing is his brutal honesty — which is ultra-rare in the finance industry.
15. Think School
Nobody does business case studies better than Think School’s Ganesh. The marketing, sales, negotiation, and productivity videos are the cherries on top.
16. The Swedish Investor
This is the finance version of FightMediocrity — the book summaries are absolute treats. He also presents lessons from legendary investors such as Benjamin Graham, Warren Buffett, and Charlie Munger.
17. Graham Stephen
Graham is the “more-clickbait, lesser entertainment, and more information,” version of Andrei Jikh. But the fast pace and no-fluff approach make his values value-dense.
18. Ankur Warikoo
For my fellow Indian brethren, look no further. While I’ve learned finance mostly from other sources, Ankur’s videos have helped me apply it in the Indian context.
The average salaried employee or college student with minimal finance knowledge will get the most bang for his buck from this channel.
Fitness
With fitness being a crucial part of my life, I’m always looking for new information and keeping up with the research.
19. Alpha Destiny
It was Alex from Alpha Destiny that made me take strength training seriously. Not to mention weighted calisthenics and “yoke” training. His full-body workout videos are some of the most engrossing fitness videos you can watch.
He’s incredibly knowledgeable and testament to this is his insane strength, athleticism, and peak physique.
20. Fitness FAQs
Apart from having a Greek god physique, Daniel’s soothing voice, HD video, and textbook form reps make every video an aesthetic treat — it was him that inspired me to use perfect form while lifting.
Primarily a calisthenic YouTuber, he has detailed science-backed videos on building muscle, strength, and flexibility — through the use of weights as well.
21. Lifting Vault
As someone who trains in a semi-powerlifting style, I love to keep up with the sport — it motivates me to strive for higher PRs. And Lifting Vault covers almost every significant development in the sport.
22. Jeff Nippard
Jeff packs an insane amount of value into every video-rich videography, heavy research, detailed animations, and crystal-clear demonstrations. For science-based training advice, Jeff is my go-to.
Comedy
Few things are healthier for you than a spell of genuine laughter — even more in this serious, stress-inducing busy world.
23. Andrew Schulz
As I’m writing this, I’m choking with laughter, listening to him. He’s a comedic genius and his style of humor strongly aligns with my own. And unlike most standup comedians, he barely does scripts — it’s all Improv crowd work.
24. Key and Peele
By now, I must have watched every K&P skit — but I still find pleasure in re-watching. Every video is an amalgamation of two incredible actors and a devilishly clever script. The movie-like production quality is the cherry on top.
25. Anwar Jibawi
Just when I thought Key and Peele were unmatched, I found Anwar. Watch this to get a taste of this comedic genius.
Misc
Two channels I couldn’t put into any of the other categories.
26. What Meditation Really Is
As the name suggests, this is a compilation of videos by various spiritual gurus on the true nature of meditation — tips on how to start, stick to and meditate deeper.
Of these, Mingyur Rinpoche’s videos are the best — funny, relatable, and simple.
27. Ted Talks
Last but definitely not least is TED — a compilation of some of the best speeches of some of the best speakers on the planet. Enough said — here’s one of the best I’ve ever watched.
