The one I seek
A poem

I'm not alone But it's lonely Our old space No longer homely Empty rooms No one and only Your absence now Seems to own me.
The music plays But not the voice I'm apathetic To the choice Percussion echoes With the noise One word from you And I'd rejoice.
Other people Gather round The ones who want me To be found But they cannot resurrect The one I seek Is in the ground.
Time will heal As we are told And as it may I’m growing old By myself In this hole An automaton Not a soul.
