The One Diary That I Recommend Everyone Should Have

In one of my recent articles, I wrote about searching for happiness and this article could be labeled as version 2.0 although, they are totally very different.

I am sure almost every one of us keeps one diary that is either a personal or business, but I believe very few of us have a different one than these two I have already mentioned.

You see in life, it’s the small things that usually make us feel happy, but we rarely realize then, and for that reason, I am highly recommending to everyone who reads this post to make a new diary that is specially dedicated only to note down your happy moments in life so that when sad moments come calling, you have a place to find your happiness again.

“Being happy doesn’t mean everything is perfect. It means you’ve decided to look beyond the imperfections.”

What really makes you happy?

A simple question that requires you to ponder a lot before you can give a definite answer, simply because the things that make you happy could vary a lot.

Is it the success you have achieved that makes you happy or its the recent fame you gained through social media or its the amount of money you have in your bank account that is making you happy.

“It isn’t what you have, or who you are, or where you are, or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about.” — Dale Carnegie

Well, all these above could surely bring you some form of happiness but that is not what I want you to focus on because they are external factors that are sometimes out of your control.

What I really want you to pay attention is the little details of your everyday life such as greeting your neighbor with a friendly smile early in the morning or a visit by an old friend that you haven’t met since your childhood or accomplishing the small goals that you have set for the day that could give you a sense of achievement and moments of happiness.

These moments of happiness are countless, and they are part of your everyday life, it’s up to you to notice which ones make your happy moments list, therefore I want you to have your happiness diary always intact and ready for you to register them.

“Happiness consists more in small conveniences or pleasures that occur every day, than in great pieces of good fortune that happen but seldom to a man in the course of his life.” — Benjamin Franklin

Conclusion

In the end, happiness is something we all desire to have every time, that is not possible because of our human nature but we have the opportunity to capture those moments with our own hands using a pen and a happiness dairy so that we can relive them as long as we cherish.

I would like to end this post by words of wisdom from Stacey Charter.

she said the following:

“Don’t rely on someone else for your happiness and self-worth. Only you can be responsible for that. If you can’t love and respect yourself — no one else will be able to make that happen. Accept who you are — completely; the good and the bad — and make changes as YOU see fit — not because you think someone else wants you to be different.”

Thank you for your precious time.
