Summary

"The One" is a profound philosophical reflection on the nature of existence, positing that a singular, eternal, and unchangeable essence underlies all life and consciousness.

Abstract

The poem "The One" delves into the concept of an ultimate, incomprehensible source from which all beings and forms originate. It emphasizes that this primal ground, referred to as "The One," is beyond the duality of good and evil, transcending space, time, and the cycle of birth and death. "The One" is described as an ever-present, eternal consciousness that manifests itself in the diversity of life, holding the memories of humanity's past experiences and guiding the evolution of forms. The poem suggests that while outer appearances change, the essence of "The One" remains constant, offering a perspective of immortality and continuity through the "never ending now."

Opinions

  • The author believes that "The One" is the true creator and essence of all existence, a concept that aligns with certain mystical and philosophical traditions that speak of a universal source or consciousness.
  • "The One" is portrayed as an entity that is neither good nor bad, suggesting a non-dualistic view of reality where conventional moral judgments do not apply to the fundamental nature of existence.
  • The poem conveys the idea that individual identities and memories are preserved within "The One," implying a form of spiritual continuity or reincarnation.
  • It is suggested that the dissolution of forms is not an end but a transformation into a higher dimension, reflecting an optimistic view of death and change as part of an ongoing spiritual evolution.
  • The author expresses a belief in the immortality of the self, asserting that only the external form is subject to change, while the core of one's being remains eternal and unchanged.
  • The concept of "The One" is presented as a truth that is deeply known but often forgotten, with the poem serving as a reminder to awaken to this timeless reality.

The One

A Timeless Poem

The One is my true creator The nature of all beings It is the primal ground of all things The dormant from which all forms arise

The One is my true being It reveals itself in the form that I am It is neither good nor bad And cannot be comprehended

The One is my true essence Deep love transcending life and death Going beyond all space and time It is the never ending now

The One does not originate from birth And will not vanish with death It is eternal and unchangeable It unfolds itself through time

Out of this timeless now of One Many forms and beings arise From a limitless, endless depth A never drying well

The One creates new forms It is the origin of every shape Altogether humanity exist Through the One taking shape again

The One has our memories And many people remember To have lived several times before In the One lie our many experiences

All things will eventually perish But perish is not a downfall Only evolution to a higher dimension New beginnings in spiritual sense

The One makes me aware That I have always been myself That in itself everything is immortal Only the outer shape transforms

Through the One I finally discover What I have long known before But somehow have forgotten There is only the timeless now
