Evan Liddleston…… December 17, 2017— January 20, 2020

The Reverend Mr. Kyle Patterson, speaking on behalf of the Liddleston family of East Rutherford, announced that their young son Evan passed away early this morning after suffering an aneurysm.

Evan was the youngest of Mr. and Ms. Ronald and Amelia Liddleston’s three children. Their surviving children, Sherry and Ben, are staying with Ms. Cranford-Liddleston’s parents in Cherry Grove for the time being. Evan’s death was sudden and completely unexpected. The family has asked for prayers at this time and that their privacy is respected.

Mr. Liddleston is the manager of Dirk’s Books which has seen a resurgence in business after being pushed to the brink of closing down in recent years due to competition from online booksellers. Mr. Liddleston was largely responsible for this turnaround and admits that he has focused too much on his work in recent years. Ms. Cranford-Liddleston owns and manages the Whimsical Chimes Antiques and Curiosities Shoppe on Bedford Street. The shop will be closed for the rest of the week.

Evan had been hospitalized two months ago with an infection but that had been brought under control and the family was told that he had recovered completely.

Visiting hours and funeral arrangments are to be announced and will take place at East Rutherford Congregational Church. Donations to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation in lieu of flowers are being requested by Evan’s family.
