The Obituaries of January*
Marvin Seigler…… August 24, 1950 — January 10, 2020

Mr. Marvin Seigler, beloved father, husband, brother, and trusted insurance professional for over thirty years here in New Randoph, died overnight in his home. The cause was an undetected brain aneurysm according to his wife, Mrs. Amanda Seigler.
Mr. Seigler was born and lived his entire life in this community. Chances are that the reader of this obituary purchased some form of insurance from “Marv”. This reporter certainly did. Mr. Seigler possessed the all-too-rare ability to make a sale by convincing the potential buyer that this was truly a product that would be of real value. An investment. He never simply sold a financial product either. It was understood that Mr. Seigler would be following up and if anything wasn’t right, he’d take care of it immediately.
His integrity and strong work ethic made Mr. Seigler that rarest of men: a trusted insurance salesman.
He and Amanda raised their two sons right here in New Randolph in the home he bought after returning from his tour of service in Korea. They had met at a library fund-raiser right before he was deployed and married during his last furlough. Both the Seigler’s were active in their temple and Mrs. Seigler was well-known as a loving, supportive woman who could keep a confidence.
Services are to be held tomorrow, January 11, at Temple Beth Immanuel. The family is requesting that donations be made to the New Randolph Public Library in Mr. Seigler’s name.
