SCIENCE
The Nobel Prize of Physics 2021 Is for Complexity Patterns. What’s Next?
The future will be defined by Nature, Science, and the Human courage to change

The Nobel Prize of Physics 2021 has just been awarded to these three guys. From left to right: Syukuro Manabe, Klaus Hasselman, and Giorgio Parisi. Because of their work on climate models and complexity. And while most attention goes to the first two and climate change, I’m mighty interested in the third.
Giorgio Parisi.
We are going from Anthropocene to Syntropocene. And Giorgio proves that there’s more pattern in complexity than chaos. I’m glad people are studying patterns! Also, I’m glad that Natural patterns, such as ‘dynamic scaling of growing interfaces’ and ‘whirling flocks of birds’, like he studied, are now being understood better and climate scientists can use this knowledge to understand the dynamic patterns of climate better.
This is what Georgio won half of the money for: “groundbreaking contributions to the theory of complex systems, in particular “for the discovery of the interplay of disorder and fluctuations in physical systems from atomic to planetary scales.”
Yesss! From atomic to planetary-scale there is no chaos. We need the behavior of the smallest particles to be understood and we definitely need the connections on an atomic scale to be studied.
There are just ingenious, Natural patterns. And it’s the task of science to keep zooming in and zooming out to see what the patterns are and where the planet is evolving towards at this crucial moment in time.
Women and Diversity
Next year, I would like the Nobel Prize to go to a woman who studies syntropy. How do rib cells know how to grow in one specific direction? What patterns does a river follow at the specific moment when it goes from entropy (seeming chaos with whirling vortexes) to streaming in one connected direction?
Most importantly, how do the water molecules and the rib cells know where to go next? How does our Planet create emergence…
My personal Heroine Lynn Margulis never won the Award, but what she did for symbiosis can be done for syntropy too.
The Nobel Prize can be shared with women neuro-and socio-scientists who do groundbreaking work on human behaviors (Brené Brown?) or on the science of compassion and intuition.
Earlier, scientists have come to the conclusion that the big difference between human technology and Natural technology is the fact that Nature uses mainly the structure of materials and information (inside) instead of (outside) energy and solid materials.
Can you imagine what a breakthrough for our energy supply this syntropy knowledge would be? Nikola Tesla was so close! Can you imagine what a big breakthrough for our human behavior in chaotic times this would be? Away from polarization! Streaming together in one direction… The future…
Cool Scientists
Does anyone have any suggestions on which women scientists I should follow? I would like to expand my tribe with cool women scientists of all kinds of research fields who do the work and come up with brilliant groundbreaking insights.
Or cool women entrepreneurs who take these insights and find the conscious business models for useful applications.
Suggestions welcome! Also men of course. Please, include all countries and all cultures…
You can find me somewhere on our beautiful planet, with my hands in the soil and my eyes focused on the stars. Abundanism and Linktree. Thank you, Mike, for adding your wise energy to my words.
