The Night the Stars Became a Feast
Seaside constellation
Today’s random word is CONSTELLATE
Since drabbles are brief, I’d appreciate it if you could hang around on this page for at least 30 seconds to count it as a read. If you feel like giving a round of applause, highlighting, or dropping a comment, that would be the perfect finishing touch. 💕
As the sun dipped below the horizon, Mateo and Petra sprawled on a cliff overlooking the Adriatic Sea, gazing at the stars.
“Look at those stars, Petra! They’re like scattered breadcrumbs,” Mateo exclaimed, pointing at the sky.
Petra chuckled. “Yeah, if we could constellate them, we’d have a celestial feast!”
Mateo grinned. “Imagine a constellation shaped like a Dalmatian dog, wagging its tail across the Milky Way!”
Petra laughed, her voice carrying over the gentle waves. “Or a giant fish constellation, swimming through the cosmos!”
As they giggled, their imaginations soared higher than the stars, painting the night with laughter.
Nancy Oglesby writes, “If you are unfamiliar with a drabble, it is a fiction story of exactly 100 words.”
To make the challenge more interesting, each day, she gives a random word prompt.
