My Thoughts
A thrilling political espionage thriller series, with a very sustained rhythm. It is this rhythm that will keep us going until the end of the series, because the rest is very familiar. The scenario is classic: a small FBI official who is finally an excellent field agent, alone against all, who must save the world, the dialogues that do not fly high, the romance, predictable from the first episode…
There are many parallel stories, but everything is well done to keep the whole coherent and understandable. As for the credibility of the scenario, I’ll take a rain check, because it seems complicated to me to corrupt the highest authorities of the American government. But if we accept that this is a fiction just designed to entertain, we can forgive this easy script.
As for the acting, it is credible even if sometimes a little overplayed. The young Gabriel Basso is doing very well.
The action and fight scenes are nervous and dynamic, very well done.
In short, even if we have a slight feeling of déjà vu throughout this series, its frenzied rhythm makes it watchable, and even interesting.
To Watch or Not to Watch
I recommend this series, mainly to those who don’t know many spy scenarios, to avoid that déjà vu feeling while watching it.
