“The Niche Is Me”
Is it though?

Can you sell yourself to people?
If you think about growing a personal brand and having the gates wide open to sell anything to anyone, you’re wrong.
It’s not going to work like that.
People are people and they will still think about what it is for them.
“What is it for me?”
What good do you bring to people?
Are you inspiring them?
Are you talking about the business you’re building?
I’d argue both of those still aren’t a “you” niche. One talks about inspiration and motivation. And other about business. Neither of which are you.
You’re just using your perspective, your lenses, to talk about other topics that are your true niche. And you wouldn’t say that you are selling yourself when you’re building a personal brand?
I’d say that’s just you leaving the door open for any topic. You will be able to talk about anything that interests you.
That’s exactly what I want as well.

“Wait, you’re selling… What?”
Even if you have a personal brand it has to make sense when you launch a product.
Let’s say you’ve never talked about writing and suddenly you launch an ebook.
Weird, but okay.
What are you writing in it though?
I’m not going to sell an ebook in which I write a story about my childhood.
I’m going to write an ebook about emailing instead.
Because that’s what I'm talking about.
I could write about writing as well. I could write about my journey of building an online business.
I won’t write a book about my mom.
Do you get my point?
Personal brand = people
At the end of the day, personal brand is people.
You can’t build a personal brand without people and there won’t be success without people.
The best way would be to build relationships and community around you that will lift you up.
But then again, the community will have your interests. You all will have that in common and the product that you want to launch has to mirror that.
