The New Price Control Task Force:

Today I read an article discussing how President Biden is currently assembling a price gauging task force targeting corporations who are allegedly charging too much for their products.

In my unpolitical opinion, do corporations price gauge? Absolutely! They charge as much as they can get away with but there is also a flip side to this. Due to inflation, it does cost more for companies to continue to produce the items that you and I like to purchase.

In my opinion, the government is doing everything they can to deflect blame on this inflation problem. Again, the corporations do charge too much money because people will pay it, but they are trying to blame the corporations for a problem they created. You cannot print trillions and trillions of dollars and not expect the cost of living to hurt everyone. As Liam Neeson said during his famous movie Taken, “Our costs go up, your costs go up it’s only natural”.

While again, I’m not saying that corporations don’t price gauge, they do. They are partially passing the cost of doing business onto us because inflation hurts the poor and working class because we don’t own enough of the assets where inflation benefits like stocks, real estate, and even businesses. This entire task force is just another way to blind people and deflect blame as to what’s really happening.
