The Musicians Who Inspired A Story

February Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Statues”

Silent musicians listening to my soul.

I had gone for a walk with my already grown 14-month-old baby when mysterious music reached me. As I got closer and closer to its source, with every step I took, the sound became more magical, more mysterious. There was no doubt — some musicians were nearby.

I heard them — as they were — voiceless, stringless, silent …. But they were there and I knew it. More than once I was a part of them, my whole being was already there, again with them, touching them with my soul. They were there, tireless, conducting their music lessons.

Perhaps using their free time for music. Or it was their most precious time spent — among their instruments — in tune with the tune they chose to play. The thing that motivated them to keep doing it — their most valuable pastime. Pouring their heart into this activity, perhaps capturing the hearts of other people …

Touching passers-by like me…

Our fates crossed not for the first time, but they were the same. Well, I had maybe changed a little. Who knows..

Music changes me. It surprises me. Every time I listen, it breaks something in me, and I already know that I’m not the same…

Music is what inspires me to keep writing about it; it also makes me dream, grow, motivate myself in my tasks, be myself.

These statues of musicians, an integral part of a functional fountain, are near the gardens where my two little ones play. Located in a park that is perfect for relaxation, they draw me in each time I visit.

Thank you for reading and being a part of my musical mood :).
