The Much Loved Xbox 360 Controller Is Getting an Official Remake
The original 360 design but with modern features.

Peripherals manufacturer Hyperkin is making an official remake of the much loved Xbox 360 controller. It will be called the Hyperkin Xenon, which was apparently the codename for the Xbox 360.
Hyperkin is gaming hardware development company who specialise in “consoles and accessories for multiple generations of gamers.”
You may have heard of Hyperkin from their various retro console accessories.
This new controller will have the same design as the original 360 controller, but with a few additional modernised features. These include the following.
- A modernized menu, view, and share buttons
- A 3.5mm headphone jack
- A USB-C port & cable
Additionally, the Hyperkin Xenon will be available in the following four colours.
- Black
- White
- Pink
- Red
Interestingly, this isn't the first Xbox controller remake Hyperkin have made. Previously, they remade the ridiculously bulky Duke controller from the original Xbox, but with modernised features similar to the Xenon.
I can’t imagine that controller was too popular since the Duke was such an awkward device to handle. But I can easily see the modern version of the 360 controller being very successful.
I myself have at least a handful of friends who have always preferred the design of the 360 controller, but eventually settled for the newer versions due to their better build quality and modern features.
But now gamers like that have a new option which will most likely make a lot of people happy.
