The Most Beautiful Place

What’s the most beautiful destination you’ve ever been to? Describe it.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have been to some really beautiful places — but the most beautiful have been provided by nature — rainforests, waterfalls, streams, beaches, tropical islands to name a few.

The one that comes to mind is Eton Blue Hole in Vanuatu. It’s a freshwater pool a few metres from the ocean and crystal clear.

It’s not signposted so is hidden off the main road — the main road being a dirt track — when I last visited. It’s perfect for swimming or snorkelling or just sitting on the edge dangling your feet in the cool water and contemplating its beauty. The overhanging greenery makes sure it’s a well-kept secret.

Update: It’s been discovered and is now on every tour of Vanuatu. The photo doesn’t do it justice.
