The Moment
A Poem

Sunlight opens my soul to the sounds you make as you move about our home, touching this and that, reflecting on what has been and what is to come. Night has shed its cloak of darkness and the dawn has breathed fresh life into our bodies. We are lovers of the moment, immersed in the sounds bouncing off the walls, listening for the resurrection of the dead, and hoping to live another day. I kiss your lips and feel your breasts pushing against my chest.
