The Mind of a Writer
Ever read a book and went “What tf is going on in the author’s head?”. Yep.

Ah yes, writers. The mythical beings, combinations of super brains, perfect words and sad emotions. They are the ones we look up to, the ones we cry because of, the ones who make us rethink our whole lives, and the ones who create our bellowed fantasy worlds.
But do you ever wonder what’s going on in in their heads? What’s fuelling their minds? Wonder how it is they see the world? Or am I just weird?
To me, it’s more than bewildering how there are so many of us humans walking on the same planet, but when you think about it, no two people see the world in exactly the same way. And writers are the proof of that. They might find beauty where it is hidden to us, or they might find pain and hurt where we find joy.
As a huge book nerd, I always enjoyed the written words, the fictional worlds created by said words. Fictional characters to me always became more than that — they outgrew the pages and moved to the world of the living. They weren’t something created, they just were.
But lately I can’t help but see the people behind these words. The emotions behind each sentence, the experience behind each imaginary scenario. I think to myself how much hurt they had to go through to write this piece of art. Or how they must appreciate life to create such inspirational plots. Sometimes I even wonder,
is this based on their lives?
Don’t get me wrong, I know the difference between fiction and real world, and writing is a profession like any other; but still — it had to come from somewhere, right? After all, it’s our experiences and moments and memories and outside influences that make us.
Whatever it is though, writers may be humans like us, but they go beyond that;
they create worlds that never were, never will be and simultaneously the worlds that will live in our hearts forever.
They truly are magical beings with incredible brains and an even bigger imagination. And I love it.
