The Middle East just imploded today, I don’t know if this is the start of the WAR…
There is just so much to unpack here.

What prompted me to write this post, wasn’t Houthis taking another ship, nor was it the withdrawal of IDF in Gaza, nor was it the Tel Aviv man stabbing and Grand Theft Auto incident.
It was Iran bombing the hell out of the supposed Mossad Headquarters next to the US Consulate in the Green Zone. Which is start of a massive escalation, because after the start of October the 7th, Iran hasn’t been directly involved in anything. This is the first time, missiles launched from Iran have hit US and Israel assets in the Middle East.
What Iran has done has put down the Gauntlet.
Here’s what happened. Initially reports came of 4 missile strikes directly on Mossad Headquarters, which was right next to the US consulate. The headquarters was completely destroyed as you can see from the aftermath footage and as of right now it is also indicated that the US consulate has been severely damaged as well.
Iran used Khyebar Sheken missile which is a manoeuvrable warhead and they purposely fired the rocket from southern Iran. The target was approximately 1230km away making it Iran longest missile attack.
What prompted Iran to do this? The IRGC claimed the attack immediately and In my opinion it was response to the assassination of their commander killed in Syria, Seyyed Raza Mousavi. Then they launched strikes into Syria, specifically into Idlib, to strike “ISIS” targets. That distance I mentioned earlier was basically them sending a message to Israel who was sitting 1200km away that they are also within range.
In regards to who was hit, it is still unconfirmed, but some OSINT account who have intel on the ground are saying 9 Mossad operatives were killed including one high ranking senior. There are also separate attacks on some of the residences, names have been published including one Peshraw Diyazee who was handling the the oil exports of Iraq to Israel. Along with him 3 other people have been killed.
Did this cause some damage to Israel? Yes it did, immediately after this attack IDF jets were airborne over Beirut. Signalling that the Israelis are pissed off at what happened. Obviously killing someone who was in charge of Oil exports to Israel aims to disrupt Israel’s oil flow. Almost 40% of Israel’s oil is sourced from Iraq so you can imagine the Israelis to be totally pissed .
An important thing to note about Peshraw was that he was of Kurdish descent and he was a mafia boss according to some reports heading a syndicate in Iraq. Which made him untouchable in Iraq. His assassination sends a message to Israeli assets within Iraq that they’re also fair game.
IRGC missile attacks in Syria
Elsewhere, the IRGC have claimed to attack assets in Syria like I said before. Though as of right now I can’t tell you what assets they have hit. Of course like clockwork the US has denied any attacks of American facilities and assets, but later, like two weeks down the line they probably release the full story as footnote. One reason for their denial could also be the fact that they’ll have to respond, which to me seems like they’re hesitant in doing.
Firing on Egyptian border with Israel
In Egyptian news, there were unconfirmed reports of firing at the Rafah border, which then exploded into a revelation that it was smugglers, which then turned out to be false that it was Egyptian security forces engaging with the Israeli forces, currently Israel have deployed an Apache helicopter to helpt with the exchange.
How or why this happened is unclear as the firing at the time of writing this is still ongoing, however, I can explain some context as to why this may have occurred.
You’ve heard of Philadelphi corridor? It’s a buffer zone between Egypt and Israel which was handed to the PA authority after Israel’s disengagement from the Gaza in 2005. On the Egyptian side, there’s about 750 guards that stand guard watching it.
Israel wants control of that to prevent the smuggling of materials and weapons to Hamas and since the last two days they’ve been saying that they’ll take back control of this region, which means they’ll have control of the rafah border. In my opinion the exchange could be related this. But we’ll know more once the story comes out of what went down.
Edit: There are some Egyptian sources which confirm it was a drug smuggling operation that was being thwarted by the Egyptians, but I don’t see how or why would IDF smuggle drugs, or why the IDF would call an apache helicopter. Theres more to this story and stuff is behind hidden.
Israeli forces withdraw from Gaza
In other news, the Israeli forces have withdrawn from Gaza without achieving any substantial gains apart from taking out the Hamas leader in Lebanon. For fourth time Israel has said that it has taken Hamas capabilities and then Hamas hits back at the Israeli settlements with rockets, telling the world that’s not true. Though it is true that their rocket barrages have decreased. It could be that their stock need to be replenished, but for now we now that Hamas is still strong in Gaza.
Israel has said that it has removed the forces from Gaza to re-deploy them to the north to fight Hezbollah. Which looks they’ll need it, given that settlers are unable to return to the northern settlement due to the ongoing settlement, according to the Israeli media.
Footnote: incident in Tel Aviv
In Tel Aviv there was incident of a man that went on a stabbing spree and hijacked a couple of cars and ran over settlers. As far as I’ve heard, the Israeli police are investigating that issue. People have been told to stay inside the house, because the local authorities suspect that the Radwan forces have infiltrated Israel. But from the looks of it, to me especially, it sounds like a complete hoax.
Houthis target another ship.
The Houthis have launched another attack on another ship, further indicating that they have not been deterred. I don’t know why many people feel offended that they haven’t been deterred after the US dropped bombs in Yemen. It’s plain, simple facts. They have not been deterred. The whole objective of bombing and bypassing congress to bomb them has been futile. The bombing was pure optics, to show America that it’s doing something, instead it’s fallen right into a trap.
The Houthis have hit cargo ships, what makes you think they won’t hit oil tankers. The worst ones that will be hit will be the EU and before I used to think America did it for no reason, I’ve changed my stance after reading and researching into this more. America hit Yemen, because the direct impact of Red Sea closure affects EU. They’re going to be under inflation and most likely recession, because in terms of industrialisation, the EU is a direct competitor of the US.
I’ll leave you with this small nugget.
Pentagon denies news of sending Additional troops.
In other news, the pentagon has come out and denied that they are sending additional troops to Syria and Iraq which is a direct contradiction to what CBS has claimed. But, I think their source isn’t wrong. They have deployed additional troops but don’t want to seem like they’re escalating their position. Additional troops means someone’s gearing up for a conflict.
So that’s it so far, from all of this it looks like the Middle East is imploding, there’s just so many incidents happening at the same time that it’s hard to wrap around what’s happening.
But in regard to today’s events, what rocked me the most was the Iran has entered the war. We’ll have to see what happens next.
