Three cheerful chirpers announce spring’s arrival
The word Life encompasses what spring means to me. After the quiet and monotone season of winter, spring's return stimulates my senses — first with its joyful sounds, then with its vibrant colors.
Before the kaleidoscope of hues bursts to life outside my window the melody of spring begins. As I slumber in my jet-black bedroom with heavy eyelids, my ears perk up to a single cheerful pre-dawn chirp. Through my tightly closed window, a bird’s first notes for the day reach out and begin rustling me from my nighttime dormancy.
A smile stretches across my face as his continuous tweets coax my lids to flutter open and greet the new day. When these delightful early spring tunes crank up again after the soundless winter I’m assured luscious colors will soon follow.
Spring kicks off with the sounds of life.
