The Masterpiece — Submission Guidelines
Here, quality matters — not quantity

Yes, you’ve come to a place where quality matters — not quantity. But don’t get this wrong, quality doesn’t mean that you have to write like the NYT articles.
We believe in simplicity and look for engaging, well-structured content that connects readers.
Make your stories simple but interesting and engaging. We would be happy to publish and spread your masterpieces.

We publish the masterpieces on the following topics.
- Happiness
- Self-Improvement
- Environment
- Travel
- Relationships
- Mental Health
- Motivation
- Social Problems
- Education, Reading, Writing
- Satire, Humor
- Country, Culture & History
- Business & Marketing
- Personal thoughts & experiences
We publish the masterpieces between 03–20 minutes read on the above topics.

We don’t publish the stories on the following topics.
- Poetry
- Technology
- Cryptocurrency
- Listicles (5ways, 10ways, 12things, 15principles, etc.)
- Quotes
- Law & Legal Issues
- Intricate Academic Writings
- How to/how I make $$$…(articles)
- Food review/product review

By submitting to The Masterpiece, you are complying with the following rules and guidelines.
1. Follow Medium Rules
Submissions must comply with Medium’s Rules, Ad-Free Policy, Content Guidelines, and Curation Guidelines.
2. Submit Unpublished Drafts
You must submit original and unpublished drafts. After publishing the story in The Masterpiece, you can republish or share it on your blog, LinkedIn, Twitter, or other platforms outside Medium.
3. Original Contents
Your stories must be original, engaging, and well-organized. We do not accept vague, unclear, or intricate ones. Make sure your contents are grammatical-error-free. We recommend you use Grammarly to check your content beforehand.
Plagiarism will not be tolerated.
4. Call to Action (CTA)
A single text link inviting newsletter subscriptions, or a few medium links of your other stories are acceptable. Any types of CTAs or Sign-up forms are not allowed with the content.
5. Style Guide
Follow the below style guide while submitting your draft to The Masterpiece.
Titles and subtitles: No clickbait is allowed. Your story must have a precise title and a subtitle. Write your titles in title case and subtitles in sentences case/title case.
Feature image: Make sure you have a featured image (horizontal orientation) below the main title and subtitle.
Image credit: Cite the source and usage rights in the image caption. If the photo is taken or created by the author, mention it in the image caption. You may find copyright-free images on Unsplash, Pixabay, Pexels, etc.
Section headings: Keep all the section headings in sentence case. Do not mix up your section headings. Make your masterpieces well-structured and visually stunning.
6. Submission
Submit your final draft by clicking the “…” button near the top-right corner of the page. Then select “Add to publication” and choose “The Masterpiece”. Finally, click “Add draft” to submit your story for review.
7. What we change/edit(if necessary)
We may change the title, subtitle, images if we find the existing ones less engaging or irrelevant. We will edit sentence structures and paragraphs if they are too long and intricate.
Moreover, we will try our best to make sure that your writing is error-free and well-structured.

8. How long it will take to publish
Within 03(three) days, you will get feedback from us. If everything is okay, we will be happy to publish your masterpiece.
But if you do not hear anything within 03 days, you are free to submit the draft elsewhere.

- Which language should I use? Ans: American English
- How could I understand that my story is well-structured? Ans: Read the articles already published in The Masterpiece. You will get an idea of how you should structure/format your story.
