The Many Terrains Of Mother Earth

Landscapes our beautiful planet has to offer

Authors Own- Samoa

We don’t need just one day to appreciate Mama Gaia, every day is Earth appreciation day.

When I look around at the current state of our world it feels like there is so much chaos surrounding us. So much so that I felt called to reflect on all the beauty our planet has to offer as a reminder that there is still good left in the world.

The Earth is unique with its many terrains and landscapes and as I was looking through my own travel photos, I felt so lucky to have been able to experience many of the different environments our planet has to offer.

Here are a few of the many unique terrains Mother Earth has gifted us with.

Sand Dunes

Authors Own- Mui Ne, Vietnam

When I thought of Vietnam, I expected bustling cities, street food vendors, and serene fishing villages but I wasn’t expecting there to be sand dunes.

We visited Mui Ne and I was pleasantly surprised at how vast the sand dunes were.

Sand dunes are a unique and fascinating part of nature, it's natural to assume that sand dunes are only found in desert-type places but they can be found in any place that is dry with a steady wind.

Tropical island

Authors Own- Nanyuna Lai Lai, Fiji

Another beautiful landscape Mother Earth has to offer are the tropical islands i.e paradise.

The great thing about tropical islands is that in various parts of the world they look different too, even if the concept is the same.

Tropical islands are among my favourite terrains that the Earth has to offer and this picture of one of the islands in Fiji exhibits everything I love about them. From golden sand to coconut trees, the landscape truly makes you feel like you have escaped to another world.

Mountains

Authors Own- Whistler Mountain, Jasper

Mountains are a majestic force of nature. There is something about them that seems so strong and wise. There is an abundance of incredible mountain ranges around the world.

This picture was taken from the summit of Whistler Mountain in Jasper, a hike I definitely was not prepared for.

The climate at the top of the mountain was vastly different from the climate below, but this also adds to the magic of mountains because it is a whole other world at the top.

Forest

Authors Own- Piha, New Zealand

There is nothing like walking through a lush green forest, filled with trees, moss, and the occasional creek here and there.

The sights, smells, and energy in a forest feels almost like healing therapy.

Embarking on a forest walk feels soothing and is a treat for the senses.

Forests also come in all shapes and sizes and it is so fascinating to see the different types of forests each country has to offer.

There are many more terrains I have yet to explore and it is so exhilarating to know that our planet is bursting with so much variety.

What are your favourite types of landscapes to explore?

I would love to hear your thoughts!
