The Magic of Autumn
Fall has always been my favorite season.

Summer temperatures reach so high, They entice me to fly in the sky, For a much needed draft of breeze, To cool my sweat with pleasant ease. Excited when fall comes near, I shed joyful thrilling tears, Pumpkin spice coffee, For an avid tea drinker — Oreo Pumpkin pie — Is a favorite family tradition, To bring Autumn to fruition — The extravagant nature sight, Of the leaves changing — Orange, red, yellow so bright, Is sure to give my soul light, Cuddled by the fires, Snuggling family tight — Fills my heart's desire, To stay away from the bugs, The isolation from nature, Bought from cold winters — I do love spring, The beauty it brings, But the coolness on walks, Cozy sweaters and socks, Warm chicken soup, And turkey chili that rocks, Under-rated season for joy — Take time to enjoy, As Autumn kisses, Summer memories away, A new set of wishes, No sweating — But more dishes, A price we must pay. I fall for it all, A reason to warm — Eat all that’s delicious, Leave summer behind— One more in the distance.
Note:As I finished this, the most wonderful thing happened, my husband walks in with my first pumpkin spice coffee for the season! Cheers!
