If you were watching the segment about Nancy Reagan on a CNN special report of First Ladies, you may have noticed that President Ronald Reagan said, “Let’s make America great again.” Since that slogan has gained so much popularity in recent years with its use by the Trump campaign, you might be interested in more information about it.

That term came into being some time in 1979. The United States at that time was suffering a bad economy. There was high unemployment and also inflation. Since Reagan left office, the slogan has been used by various other politicians.

Wikipedia also states that Donald Trump had the slogan trademarked. It has been used extensively in his presidential campaigns and especially at his rallies.

It was quite interesting that Bill Clinton had previously used the slogan before Trump.

Followers of Trump embrace the MAGA slogan with all their might. It has become their battle cry. Originally seen mostly on red caps during the 2016 election, the MAGA logo is now seen on all types of apparel.

If you have seen any of Trump’s recent rallies on television, you probably saw people wearing masks with MAGA on them. The masks apparently are given out to Trump supporters who attend the recent rallies after Trump was diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus. Many of these people are against the wearing of masks and do not wear them even at the rallies.

MAGA has become a very popular slogan among Trump’s followers.
