Living in Florida you see some stuff

enough stuff that makes you grow scruff

or if motivated become really buff

Florida does what Florida does just because I guess no other states will

it is important that you

standstill do not make a move

there is a kangaroo loose in a neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale

I wish I was making this up for satire’s sake

but a dang kangaroo has escaped from a home

not a zoo

it hopped and certainly did not stop before the exit gate

escape during a pandemic? sure that sounds great

plenty of opportunities to mingle and mate

whatever the kangaroo’s motives may-be

I hope they are returned safely to the zoo

Or Australia, New Zealand or even the Wildlife Commission

Not in the home of some guy without a permit trying to skirt by the law

some neighbors are still in awe.
