The Lonely Star and I

A Spiritual Poetry

Today the sky was dark and empty Then I saw a lonely star It was sitting silently afar

I looked for its friends When could not see any I decided to ask

I said, what happened, little friend I know the moon is resting today Are you all by yourself What are you doing out here anyway

The little star whispered Some are sleeping tonight Some are scared of the darkness I still decided to come and shine

Sometimes a tiny ray of hope Is what a soul seeks When it is depressed or sad To carry on in life

A small ray of hope Illuminates many lives And saves even more By opening the right door

Upon hearing those words My eyes welled up All I could say was ‘keep up’

The Universe guides us In a unique way of its own Reminds us constantly that We are surrounded by hope Even when we feel we are all alone
