The list of 100 most polluted cities in the world continues, including 83 cities of the same country

Switzerland’s air quality monitoring organization IQ Air has released a list of the 100 most polluted cities in the world. According to the report, all but one of the 100 most polluted cities in the world last year are from Asian countries, of which 83 cities are from only one country. The report said that the air quality in all these cities was worse than the standards set by the World Health Organization. The report said that 83 of the most polluted cities in the world last year are in India. For this study, the amount of particulate matter (PM2.5) in the atmosphere was observed. According to the World Health Organization, the annual average of PM 2.5 in an area should be 5 micrograms per cubic meter. Out of the 7,800 cities whose air quality was tested for the report, only 9 percent of the cities had air quality in accordance with the standards set by the World Health Organization. According to the report, the Indian city of Beggar Sarai was the most polluted city in the world last year where the level of PM 2.5 was 118.9 micrograms last year. Guwahati, Delhi and Milanpur are second, third and fourth in the list. According to the report, one billion 30 crore people in India or 96% of the population live in polluted air seven times more than the standard set by the World Health Organization. Central and South Asia are the worst performing regions globally in terms of air pollution. Last year’s most polluted countries included Bangladesh, Pakistan, India and Tajikistan.
