The Lion With A Big Shadow
A short poem we can all relate to.

I am the lion with a big shadow, Follow me and my pride,
Or don’t if you won’t, But dance your own jig in your signature style,
You too bought a zoo When you came down to this planet, Decided on the name “Janet,” and chose a golden-speckled kitchen granite, In your tract home somewhere far beyond the valley of taboo,
All the while swirling through space and time, No rhyme or reason to cling to, Except for white-knuckle trust and a breathing tube,
Your song is littered with only glitches of hope and unapologetic truth.
Mine walks with a big shadow, One that’s lessening in valor, When I turn around and stand amongst it in the daylight,
So treat it right, Let go when the time is right, And if you’re feeling bold, And 82 years too old, Join my pride and dive into the unknown,
The lion with a big shadow’s no longer alone, Together, Janet, we’ll make it home.
