The Life Of An Invisible Father

A Poem from heart

Photo by Ryan Parker on Unsplash

We talk about deaths, We talk about lives. We talk about sadness, We talk about wives.

Yes, Dad, you had it, You had a wife, you had a son. You had a word that meant so much, Just like a bullet in a gun!

Yes, Dad, you loved us, With all the flaws you had, Yes, Dad, you loved us… But for Mom, you were too bad!

In all those years, I got strong, And I just realized, That all your attempts to be with us Were just a bunch of lies.

I don’t judge you, I’m not GOD! I was just your favorite son. I myself, am more than GOD! I’m the bullet in the gun!

You always said that you would take A bullet in the heart for us. But you couldn’t even take us To the station, for the bus…

So this, this is my life That I had with you, my Dad! I never knew you, never could… You were always drunk in bed.

With all those tears inside… I must admit that “Dad’ Was the only thing in life That I never had.

Even so, tears falling hard, I still feel the love That I have for you inside, In-ground and above!

I’ll always have you in my heart, Just take my advice… As you go through reincarnation, Make no mistake twice!

P.S. — even so, I still miss you Dad….
