This week was no different. More troubling developments in America and the Next 100 spoke to the moment. We bring it differently. We write as Achebe asked us to write — like the lion. We don’t speak for the hunter, we speak for the lion.

In Michigan, the issue remains clean water, in the city of Flint, and then and now, Benton Harbor. There was that famous quote by James Baldwin that inspires reflection and there is also self-determination for African-Americans, an issue not discussed enough in America.
