Create Stories, Articles, and Poetry in Minutes

I have always enjoyed writing. However, since I joined Medium, I have been writing regularly. I have now come to the point where I can just sit down, with an idea and develop it into an article, poem, or short story within 20–30 minutes. The literary piece can be published within a maximum of 5 minutes on Medium.

Like a tap that has a constant flow of water let your thoughts flow freely. You can only release your creativity when you allow it to flow. The minute you switch off your creative tap, you will find that you are missing something in life.

How can you sip the waters from the limitless spring of creativity?

  • Allow your thoughts to wander when you are in a relaxed state of mind.
  • Open up the portals of your imagination by keeping an open mind.
  • Think creatively, when looking at the most ordinary things in life.
  • Look at the world through fresh and creative eyes.
  • When ideas start to come immediately write them down into your creative journal.
  • Allow your creative ideas to flow freely and soon a trickle will turn into a flow, then into a waterfall, and finally into an ocean of your creative mind.
  • The creative mind of the universe is limitless. This means that the more you open your mind to your imagination and creativity, the more ideas will come to you.
  • Realize that stories are everywhere waiting for you to create them and share them with the world.
  • The simplest “seed” of an idea can be developed into a great story or poem using your creativity, innovation, and imagination.
  • The ideas which come to you are your ideas intended for you to develop and share with the world, so do not gift them away. Your ideas need you to infuse them with your experiences and perspective.

I would do a lot of writing work before, like when I wrote my collection of short stories and novels. I have found that recently I can write much more in a shorter period of time. This is great for me as a writer.

The minute I get a thought in my head, I can develop it into an article, short story, poem, or blog post within 30 minutes. If you enjoy writing regularly, you will find that this 30-minute writing method works for you too.

The Last-Minute Magic Writing Method is where the author just sits at the desk, gets an idea, and then develops it on the spot. This is how the method works:

1. There is no planning involved.

2. There are no writing drafts involved.

3. Get an idea and let your thoughts flow.

4. Keep writing your ideas down as they come to you.

5. You will find that there is a natural progression of ideas.

6. The ideas will only stop once the thought has reached fruition.

7. The minute that your ideas stop flowing, know that the article or post is done at that time.

8. If you happen to be writing a book chapter, then know that the minute your ideas stop is when the chapter needs to end.

9. Keep practicing these short 30-minute magic writing exercises.

10. It took me about 6 months to master this fast-writing method. It may work for you in a shorter period of time.
