The Last Day

A free verse poem

If today is my last day.

I go to my hometown first,

Meet and hug my parents,

And tell them,

How much I love them,

And say thank you to give me,

Place in your life and this world, too.

Then I record my whole journey,

All the ups and down,

Say thank you,

Who gave me their support when I was in need.

And say sorry,

To my loved ones for hurting them.

I want to just make myself burden-free.

I want to run behind the sea,

And want to feel the sun.

I want to tell my all secrets to my parents.

I go and visit the hospital,

Where I was born,

Where I took my first breath.

I want to stare at the sky and appreciate living.

I want to give smile by helping a stranger.

I just want to break all the rules.

Want to love someone unconditionally,

Don’t want to regret

And laugh unconditionally.

Last but not least, want to write, write and just write.

I hope you enjoyed this small free verse poem.
