The Largest Pistachio in the World!
Pistachioland, Alamogordo, New Mexico

Yes! We stopped and saw the largest pistachio nut in the world when we went to White Sands National Park. Pistachioland is just down the road on Highway 54 in Alamogordo, New Mexico.

The billboards along the highway do a fine job of building up the hype.

Once again, this place was so packed we almost couldn’t even pull in the parking lot. I would not recommend visiting during Spring Break week.
We were finally able to get into the parking lot, but had no luck finding a spot to park and get out. Rich drove by slowly and I took some photos as we slowly drove by. We were not able to go inside the store. We had the dogs with us anyway.

Standing over 30-feet tall, this huge nut was constructed out of more than five yards of concrete and painted with over 35 gallons of paint. It is definitely one mammoth nut!
