The Land of Towers and Reflections
A poem about deceit
Walk with me and hear my story The paragraphs are made-to-measure, I’ll hold your hand through purgatory Believe me, At the end, there’s treasure.
Of course, I know just how you feel I’ve been in the exact same place myself, But trust in me and I’ll make real Your dreams of dominance and wealth.
Now speak to me you have my ears List all your fears and aspirations, And you can’t forget how much I care Until we reach my destination.
The land of towers and reflections Through Chinese walls I slip away, You may quickly realise the deceptions And you may stay here till your end of days.
Why would you leave and not extract From others what I took from you, You have little choice but this contract It’s the quickest way to get what’s due.
