The Key

May SCWBI Challenge — Prompt #31 of 31

Photo by Amol Tyagi on Unsplash

What is the key that will unlock your heart? Can you see it? I want to find it slip it in the lock turn it.

I want to hold you in my arms feel your head on my shoulder your arms around me.

What is the key? Where do I find it?

Knowing I can’t go on

What is the key? What am I to do?

I want you so badly I want you to love me as I do you To see me as I see you.

What is the key that will unlock your heart? How do I find it? I do love you so You do make me grow into it.

And so it comes to and end this 31 day May Challenge. Thank you SCWBI for the daily challenge. Though I found it a little late, I’ve enjoyed the challenge to write something everyday. Thank you Amy Marley, Rasheed Hooda, Saloni Joshi and any others I’ve missed who’ve played along. It’s been great fun.

Now I need a new challenge, so if you hear of one, let me know. My personal challenge is to continue to write something everyday, something of substance. I write a lot of Facebook and Twitter posts, but I always want to dig my writer’s teeth into something bigger, something more meaningful and satisfying.

Thanks to Amy and Saloni for their contributions for this “Key” prompt:

I’m sure Rasheed will post something later.
