Appeasers believe that if you keep on throwing steaks to a tiger, the tiger will become a vegetarian. Heywood Broun
The Kerch bridge was hit again. “I don’t give a damn – nobody will stop me” General Zaluzhnyi on liberating Crimea
The Western alliance thinks this war needs special rules. It doesn’t. We must arm Ukraine more, not less. Russia must be overmatched and then it will let go off its prey
Ukraine must be allowed to fight this war without restrictions. The unfounded fear of escalation makes Ukraine’s war of independence unnecessarily difficult. Russia hits Ukraine’s infrastructure with impunity.
Ukraine must be allowed to do the same. The Kerch Road Bridge was hit by two naval drones. The damage was substantial. Ukraine will win by hitting Russia’s supply lines in and outside of Ukraine. All roads still lead to Crimea.
US security advisor Sullivan reiterated that Ukraine’s membership in NATO will happen. This isn’t negotiable. Russia won’t dictate anyone any peace terms. Negotiations happen among equals. Russia and the West aren’t equals any longer. It is doubtful that we ever were.
Ukraine can’t lose on the battlefield but only by the stroke of a pen.
The persistent refusal of the US-led alliance to allow Ukraine to hit Russia’s war infrastructure with Western weaponry gives Russia the power to hit Ukraine from sanctuary
This illogical fear of escalation has cost many Ukrainian lives. Russia has escalated this war. No matter what we do. Russia will escalate it further and further. Russia speaks the language of strength. Ukraine must hit Russia, where it hurts the most.
Wars aren’t won by moderation or constant hesitation. Russia tramples on our rules and principles. There won’t be any peace as long as this regime is in power. The West will lose with Ukraine, or we will win together. US president Joe Biden found the right words last year. “For god’s sake, this man can’t remain in power.”
Our appeasement of evil obstructs Ukraine’s progress. It costs Ukrainian lives. We appease the strong. We increase Ukraine’s struggle for independence with these rules and restrictions
It’s not only our politicians who chronically use watered-down euphemisms. The general population, especially the highly educated part, also beats around the bush.
Language matters when you are trying to assess, map, and communicate a threat
The tolerance of these lies and the denial, which is coming from Moscow for decades, are the result of not calling things by their name. The media, no matter if its left or right leaning, is horribly bad at saying things the way they are. Let’s practice together, shall we? Russia is an adversary. Russia is hostile and belligerent towards the West.
Western appeasers played with the lives of tens of millions for decades. They fell for their own lies. They failed to understand the danger and the inventive evil of the Putin regime.
These figures are still in denial about how wrong their intel was
The predictions about Russia’s military prowess were utterly wrong. Ukraine has shamed the world into action. However, shaming those who know no shame is a difficult task.
Diplomacy is an essential aspect of geopolitical relations, but not at the expense of truth
Open and honest dialogue helps to build genuine rapport with our partners. This trust based relationship creates the most success. Zelensky has shown us this in meetings with other leaders. He has shown it during EU and NATO gatherings.
In World War II, the appeasers took a seat in the second row after the invasion of Poland
Men such as Thomas Mann got a chance to speak. Here is a BBC radio transmission from 1941 in German. The Germans were unwilling to listen to him as the Russians today. Goebbel’s “big lie” had clouded their vision. The lies of the Nazis were larger than life. The man from the street couldn’t comprehend that someone would think about telling such sinister lies.
The Nazis had elevated the German Volk above all others
This dangerous fascist lie has misled the Russian public. This fascist elevated pride in their own nation has already cost the lives of hundreds of thousands of young men.
To the German (Ruzzian) listeners of this program:
Regarding the “prolongation” of this war and “peace.” The resistance of England (Ukraine) and the lend lease act put into place by the United States is branded by you as an “unnecessary prolongation of the war.”
I tell you this: The Fuhrer and his henchmen demand peace while the Nazis are oozing the blood of those that they have conquered and vanquished. How dare you take the word "peace” into your mouth?
What the Nazi (Z-fascist) power really means when they talk about peace is that England (Ukraine) should be subjugated. The crimes of the Nazis (Russians) should be legalized. The rest of the world should be forced to bear the unbearable.
This is not possible. With a man like Hitler (Putin), there won’t be any peace
“There can’t be any peace. Such a man is incapable of peace. He doesn’t understand what peace is. These words are nothing but sugar-coated poison when they are coming from Hitler’s mouth. These words uttered by the Fuhrer are disgusting, sick, and filthy lies.” Thomas Mann 1941 (translated by Chris Snow)
Ukraine has truth and justice on their side. War is a test of superior logistics, and most of all of superior willpower
“Appease the weak and defy the strong. Appeasement from strength is magnanimous and noble and might be the surest and perhaps the only path to world peace. When nations or individuals get strong, they are often truculent and bullying. When they are weak, they become better-mannered. This is the reverse of what is healthy and wise.” Churchill in 1951
Ukraine’s will be free of Russia’s yoke. Life will triumph over Russia’s cult of hatred and death
Putin’s fascism spurns Western values and ethics. The Kremlin cheers its onward course by a barbarous paganism and vaunts the spirit of aggression and conquest.
This fascist regime derives its strength and perverted pleasure from persecution
Those who murder with pitiless brutality, will fail. This current Russian government can never be a friend of Western democracy. (adapted speech, Churchill in 1938)
Russia’s word can’t be trusted
Ukraine and its allies may show mercy once Russia is defeated. The strong can afford mercy, the weak cannot. Russia must earn this peace. Russia must make amends. Fascism is inherently intolerant. Ukraine and its allies won’t give in. Not even by a single inch. Russia must be held accountable, and they must withdraw from Ukraine.
"If liberty means anything at all, then it means the right to tell people what they don’t want to hear.” Preface of Animal Farm
In defeat, defiance. In victory magnanimity. Churchill
The Liberal and democratic countries have a perfect right to exalt the principle of self-determination. It comes ill out of the mouths of those in totalitarian states who deny even the smallest element of toleration to every section and creed within their bounds.
Churchill’s most famous speech is still relevant today
Even if large swaves of Europe shall fall or get subjugated, we shall not fail. We shall go on to the end. (…) We shall fight on the beaches we shall fight on the landing grounds. We shall NEVER surrender. Winston Churchill June 4th 1940 (shortened)
The human race has one really effective weapon, and that is laughter. Mark Twain
Churchill implemented jokes into his speeches. He made fun of the Nazis. The public got used to it. We must make more fun of Russia. Fascist bullies hate when they aren’t being taken serious. This strategy has backfired for Churchill at times. The people expected him to deliver even very bad news in a funny and witty way.
Humor is our best weapon. We must be more frank with Russia. Russia understands us much better then
Churchill: Millions have died in bombing raids. [laughter from the audience] Women and children mainly [once more laughter from the audience]
Churchill: “This is NOT a joke!”
Man from the audience: “Do the beaches bit.”
Churchill: The beaches bit wasn’t a joke either.
The crowd chants: Beaches! Beaches! Beaches!
Churchill: [exhales annoyed through the mouth]
This is the wisdom of the past, for all wisdom is not new widsom Winston Churchill
The only real ideological issue is one between democracy, liberty, and peace on the one hand and despotism, peril, and war on the other
These calamities fell upon us because of evil counsel, because tribute was not offered to the Nazis at the right time nor yet were they resisted; They had done the most evil, then peace was made with them. Churchill in 1938 after the Munich conference
George Orwell once said, “There was truth, and there was untruth, and if you clung to the truth even against the whole world, you were not mad.”
This truth is simple: Ukraine is right. Russia is wrong.
Fascism is not defined by how many people it kills, but by the way it kills them. Voltaire
Our principles aren’t negotiable. Ukraine’s internationally recognized borders must be restored
Russia must be held accountable for its crimes against humanity. There won’t be a big compromise. There won’t be peace unless Russia removes its troops from Ukraine.
The West won’t meet this evil regime halfway ever again. Ukraine won’t stop. The West won’t stop its support. Russia’s war crimes in broad daylight won’t be tolerated.
